Everyone is entitled to an opinion and while you may think you are the paragon of truth and the upholder of the morality of the world, your total rejection of anything other than your own views says a lot about yourself.

I think you really do you believe you are the ultimate arbiter, speaking of pushing stuff down throats, have a look in the mirror

Looking back through a couple of hundred posts, it seems the name calling thingie is a right wing fetish.

:)

Yes, it is a label but it's not calling you a Dork, Retard, Arsehole, Cretin etc (you don't use all of these but one or two others do)
Actually, I don't use any of those Rick. Maybe asshole, but that's in the context of, well, dealing with an asshole, and it will be one who I have repeat interactions with, that after three years yep I lose patience with.

And if you do care to look back, I tend to call out bullshit, lying, disinformation, anti vax, anti science, far right propaganda, homophobic comments, racism, misogyny and bigotry etc etc. You get the picture. Oh and bullying.

So interestingly, I get called out for this - but those making the above comments don't.

Says it all.

In forty years time, I want this to be me.... and for the Wahs to have won multiple premierships!!! Plus, he must have the coolest name for any centenarian anywhere!!! No Honda Jazz or Yaris Cross for this guy.

Rotorua’s Ivan Deadman turned 100 this week - and he’s still driving his Mustang convertible.

β€œWhen I was 90, I moved in here and I bought myself a Mustang to celebrate,” Deadman told the Rotorua Daily Post at Rotorua’s Cantabria Lifecare and Village.

Deadman celebrated his 100th birthday on Tuesday with dinner at Skyline Rotorua with 21 whānau.

He said turning 100 felt β€œno different” but it was a good opportunity to bring his family together from across New Zealand and Australia.

His family also gathered at Cantabria today to keep the celebrations going with morning tea, cake, and a presentation of photos.

His daughter Rosemary Furniss unveiled a painting of him with 100 bubbles for 100 years, which was gifted by family friend Thomas Brown, of Thomas Brown Art Gallery in Arrowtown.

Deadman has two other children, John Deadman and Patricia Kittson, and one 24-year-old grandson, Remy Furniss.

Deadman said he was born in Raetihi, north of Whanganui, but spent most of his life in Rotorua, moving there in 1936.

He became a golf caddie when he was 10, mowed lawns, and β€œsaved all my money”.

β€œAfter the war, I became self-employed.”

He started a wrought iron business when he was about 35 and bought and developed industrial land.

He is still a commercial landlord today.

Deadman said he was married to Erin Deadman, whom he met on a golf course, for 50 years before she died in 2004.

Furniss said her father was with his β€œsecond love”, Joan Whatarau, for 20 years before she died last year.

Deadman said he and Erin travelled β€œextensively” together.

β€œWe didn’t go to Africa or India, but we went just about everywhere else.”

His favourite countries were Switzerland, China and Japan.

Deadman was made a life member of a walking group he had been part of for more than 27 years.

β€œWe had over 100 members, walked all around Rotorua, we’d go out twice a week doing 12km or 14km.”

He had also been an avid hunter.

β€œI hunted rabbits when I was a kid and then got onto the pigs and the deer and the ducks and the pheasants.”

The β€œkeen fisherman” also said he had a β€œ14-pound trout hanging on my wall”.

He said he was the North Island golf champion in 1954 - one of his greatest achievements.

β€œPlayed golf all my life. Got on scratch. Nine holes-in-one.”

Deadman attributed his longevity to β€œplenty of exercise”, hunting, golfing, and tramping.

His advice to younger people was β€œbe industrious, work hard, save your money”.

β€œI’ve had a good life.”

I’m struggling to make it to 50 and 1 wife’s hard enough 🀣

Uhhh… TVNZ showed clear bias and lack of balance (reporting negatively about gang numbers while ignoring the more important positive crime stats coming out) and get called out for it and apologise.

Only the left would blame the victim instead of the abuser 😜
OR things are really bad under this government and they're exerting political pressure to control the narrative.

Actual maga tactics

You mean the cherry-picked positive stats that the minister choose to publicise while overlooking the negative stats?

What you neglect to do is have any balance.
You admit it yourself that it is all about right wing propaganda.
Maybe if you spread the antagonism around, people might take you more seriously
