All they're doing is moving the ambulances to the bottom off another cliff. Underfunding is (and has been for decades) chronic for the most vulnerable.
As a country, I think we shouldn't be judged on our wealth or GDP or even climate response.... but on how we treat these people.... and we should be appalled at ourselves!!!

Just as English place names are getting Te Reo version, we need MΔori named cities to get English versions.
Some nominations:
Rotorua - Rotovegas
Tauranga - Gold Coast of NZ

If you're gonna make RotoVegas official, then you need to do the same for the dozens of other small cities/towns that have also been colloquially Vegas'd over the years - personally I associate it with WangaVegas having spent a significant portion of my school years growing up in Wanganui / Whanganui.
