Is there an itemised breakdown of that spend available? All I've heard is something about art therapy, which sounds suspiciously like something a spin doctor or propagandist would mention.$54b was spent on non-pandemic heathcare costs.
School lunches, Cameras on fishing boats etcIs there an itemised breakdown of that spend available? All I've heard is something about art therapy, which sounds suspiciously like something a spin doctor or propagandist would mention.
54 billion on that? I dunno, something doesn't add up here grandad.School lunches, Cameras on fishing boats etc
Pissed away buying votes funneling through grants that are impossible to track unless you know where to look.54 billion on that? I dunno, something doesn't add up here grandad.
Any facts here? The original article was right wing propaganda.$54b was spent on non-pandemic heathcare costs. To put that into perspective in terms of projects that could have been done
- $3b new ferries
- $3b shiny Dunedin hospital
- $3b waterfront stadium
- $35b second harbour crossing (this one's a bit wasteful)
- $10b leftover for water infrastructure improvements
Except this is more of your fantasy.Who do we trust next election between National and Labour on:
Inflation: National
Economy: National
Keeping govt debt under control: National
Crime: National
Education: National
Infrastructure: National
Identity issue: Labour
Not much more to say really
Fear ACT.Fear the greens:
‘Swarbrick believes any future government her party is a part of would be the most progressive or left-leaning New Zealand has seen under MMP.’
Labour lurched hard left last term…. We don’t want an even loopier govt stuffing the country up even more!

Swarbrick reckons Greens leading Opposition, only party offering tax ideas

Well Labour left us with the worst recession in 30 years so I don’t know if we will recover from an even further left govt…Fear ACT.
The extreme right racist neolibs looking to sell the country off to their Atlas backers and mates.
Wake up Wiz
She & her poorly thought out tax policies are irrelevant. Similar to TPM, their stupidity undermines what they fight for. Of the losers, by the losers, for the losers.Fear the greens:

Well. No. The reserve bank MANUFACTURED THE RECESSION AND SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO SO based on fundamentalist neoliberal policies that have been embedded in the foundations of everything they do right from their brainwashed inception.Well Labour left us with the worst recession in 30 years so I don’t know if we will recover from an even further left govt…
Show us the pro business/ economic growth left policies or it’s all dreaming while the country goes down the toilet.
So to be clear you would have done the ferries, etc and racked up billions and billions MORE debt when treasury was saying to cut spending?Well. No. The reserve bank MANUFACTURED THE RECESSION AND SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO SO based on fundamentalist neoliberal policies that have been embedded in the foundations of everything they do right from their brainwashed inception.
A recession unnecessarily extended by National's slash and burn approach, cutting capital and infrastructure spending dead and extending the recession by at least a year, costing hundreds of companies who have now gone broke and causing the worst brain drain nz has ever seen.
It's interesting and desperately sad that the right and far right see journalistic integrity and holding truth to power as ideological. That says it all about the observer.I feel the same way about John Campbell. Loved him growing up, now it just seems to be ideological 24/7
A definition of stupidity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results. So to be clear you would have done the ferries, etc and racked up billions and billions MORE debt when treasury was saying to cut spending?
You know better than treasury???
A few of us??? I’d argue all of us but whatever.A definition of stupidity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results.
A few of us on here fulfil that definition too.
You're right, it doesn't add up. Just seemed to be a lolly scramble at the end54 billion on that? I dunno, something doesn't add up here grandad.
The way the country and the world are heading, this may be the best option. The extreme right racist neolibs looking to sell the country off to their Atlas backers and mates.
Look it up on the treasury’s website. The spending has been up there for the last couple of yearsAny facts here? The original article was right wing propaganda.
