Been very disappointing for me. He is the captain and in the last few tests he should have at least tried to stay around and gather some more runs.
He has played some wild shots when normal batting was required

Great start, but we still need Phillips to be on his game in this innings. Otherwise we only have two contributing bowlers who will tire and allow these two attacking batsmen some ascendancy.
