There a WAGner in the tailLove the crowd singing to Wagner
A very small test sample, but 557 first class wickets at an average of 23 suggests he's been a decent toiler for some years.

Rachin was getting turn on the first day so interesting days to follow. That 4th innings is going to be hard work with the spin. Could be a SA win coming up if they can get a 250-300 lead?
Wasn’t it in his first ever test? Hopeless since then.Has a test best of 73 and the others are bunnies.
Not sure but early in his career.Wasn’t it in his first ever test? Hopeless since then.
Whenever there pressure on he never stands up and performs.
Many, many times in the past we have an established batter that just needs someone to hold up an end…Not sure but early in his career.
My point was he at least has made some runs while the other tailenders are just that.
In today's circumstances the only thing to do was to hit out.
I miss you hit type scenario.
No sense in trying to defend

He wasn't actually batting with established batters though. Many, many times in the past we have an established batter that just needs someone to hold up an end…

He reminds me a bit of Vernon Philander who was a similar build and bowled at around the same pace and ended up with an incredible test career average of 22.How the hell does he have 557 first class wickets 5ft nothing and bowling mid 120kms.
We have rested players as well and used the series to gain experience - could come back to bite us…Conway, Latham, Southee and Blundell are all out of form together. The perfect storm.
No, not out of it by a long shot, you'd think that the experience would come to the fore. I support the exposure a few others are getting, it needs to happen. We have rested players as well and used the series to gain experience - could come back to bite us…
But we’re not out of it yet. It’s close after the first innings with SA only just ahead. Still anyones game and I expect our senior players to step up second innings.
I'm dreading what Australia are going to do to us in the upcoming tests....Southee with two wickets from 3 completed innings now. We need better from our captain and spearhead. His bowling is pretty sedate in these conditions.
I was disappointed not to see Santner selected. It looks a poor choice now too.
A few of us feared the embarrassment of a loss to a second-string SA side. This is a country that is producing world class players in opposition teams and has done for years. Plus they have political selection policies. It is a country that has always had cricketing depth, so if we are not on our game they will cause a shock.
