Black caps need to get back to what has always worked. Good fielding, catching, bowling to fields, consistent bowling plan,, building batting partnerships.

They're doing great at this in the formats that support it. Fielding is super important, but modern T20I is about scoring 2+ runs a ball and it is becoming an individual batsman's game. Bowlers are there to make up numbers.

Big hits and commercial revenue. Fuck I'm cynical, but I am not a fan of watching the best bowlers in the world consistently getting hit for 15 in an over in non-spinning, non-seaming, non-holding wickets.
 
For those of you that only keep half an eye on World Cricket, Pakistan players have been excluded from the IPL since day dot. This year the same happened to Bangladesh and they are not participating in the World Cup. Pakistan are boycotting their game against India. Don't fear though, we still have heavyweights Italy, Oman, Scotland, Nepal, USA, UAE, Namibia Canada, the Netherlands, Ireland and Zimbabwe to bloat the competition and allow more revenue to be generated to give us some thrilling contests.

Sounds like Kenya all over again, maybe we should develop baseball and tour first world countries like Japan, Korea, Taiwan instead of fearing getting bombed at hotels. It’s a joke our elite male athletes play bloody softball and pretend they’re multi world champions against retired 50 year old baseball players 🙄 even some of those west indies players would make it to major league baseball

I agree. Scores of over 200 in a T20 game actually make it a bit boring. I much prefer when there's something in it for the bowlers and the score sits around a closely fought 180. The recent series was a joke.
 
Yikes, catches win matches. Hard luck The Netherlands. Hesson looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him up at one stage.
