RIP gene Hackman. The French Connection, one of my all time favourite films.
Same here. The cop movies of that era are incredible and nearly every one has a well staged car chase scene. The French Connection II is also a decent watch and has one of the most suspenseful foot chase scenes I think I've ever seen.

Anyone seen that movie The Substance?

Absolutely wild ending. Really enjoyed the movie but that ending was something else.

Plenty of boobs on screen to keep the majority of you scoundrels entertained too!

Yup watched it at cinema last year only knowing "body horror" and "b00bies" going in, which was enough of a recommendation for me 😅

I enjoyed the experience, but wasn't sure if it was a "good movie".
I wonder if it holds up on multiple viewings once the "WTF is going on" factor wears off. 🤔

Anyone watched Anora - Grammy award winning movie

Not idea why. I thought Ani had the most unattractive qualities in women

Overall theme had nothing to feel good about or admire

3/10
I thought it was great. Really good performances.
Changes mode from an offbeat rom com to and caper type movie.
Sad ending.

Its a unique movie.

A bit awkward that when I saw it at the movies there were only old people there.

I'm usually all for representation in media.

Only one thing has really grated me. I tried to watch The Wheel of Time (I suggest you don't), and one part of the story visited a village that had been completed isolated from the rest of the world for 1000s of years. They got there and everyone was a different ethnicity. Nup, I couldn't do that.

I'm intrigued 🤔
