All I know is they have been underestimated from the beginning and while Putin reigns the War will never really be over for Ukraine.
Ukraine are the European front basically by default eh. They have become the EU's proxy war and shield.
So saying, I don't think they will give up anything. When peace comes, expect a cold war in Ukraine and an escalation of their weapons development (the drone wars are insane now, Ukraine leads the world in innovation in that sphere, the Europeans are visiting Ukraine often and asking their advice about defence of their own borders).
With Putin gone who knows, a future leader of Russia may see the captured territories as not worth the grief to sustain.

I see Ukraine killed three Russian civilians with their wide spread drone attacks. More significantly they hit Moscow suburban areas.
The optics for Putin are not looking good in Russia, the best thing Ukraine ever did was to stop listening to the Americans and the Europeans about how they fight this war.
They are completely ignoring the rule of escalation and that has meant they no longer have their hands tied behind their backs.
Something that isn't being covered much is the extent to which the Ukrainians have degraded Russia's oil and gas industry.
The drone attacks and missile assaults have seriously hurt Russian infrastructure by accumulation, their biggest refineries are off line. Production is down three quarters of a million barrels a day. They have lost somewhere in the range of a quarter to a third of their oil market share.
And the attacks keep coming as the Russians clock up twelve billion in repairs.
As we know, they cannot replace the casualties at the front at a rate that keeps pace with the rate of attrition.
This is not WWII, young Russians do not want to go and die, unlike their ancestors who had to fight on their own doorsteps.
Ukraine are winning. Barely anyone talks about it. Time was meant to be Russia's friend, the Ukrainians have made a lie of that, the longer this goes the stronger they get.
I see the Americans want to purchase some Ukrainian cheap drones, and the Arab states are visiting to look at buying materials and get advice on how to protect their borders.
