Pick Your Team NZ Warriors v Melbourne Storm - [Round 6, 2026]

Our forwards carried the backs the corst 3 games.
Roosters backs outplayed ours
Raiders backs outplayed easily
Knights got the better of our backs as well.
And then there’s the last 2 shambles games.

Tigers backline without May, Luai and To’a still smoked us
No shit, our backline was always a weakness. Our strength is our forward pack. With same awesome game managing from Boyd. Need to get back to that. And hold the fucking ball. AKP is the only one with a chance of slotting into this team. We're not the dragons.

Okay our backs are great, Pick the same team against the storm. I’ll sure it’ll be fine

na, Taine had a good game but everyone knows the Raiders backs 5 shit on ours. Our backs can only score from 10 metres out and we’re able to because of our foward domination
I haven't attempted to pick a team.
I just called bullshit on your wildly stupid statement that a team that got 40 unanswered points feed into them were the superior backline on the night

There backs were better, go back and watch it. As I stated we won by 34 points because of Boyd and our pack.

I know you love stats

Raiders back 5:
780 run metres, 23 tackle breaks
While playing on the back foot

Warriors back 5:
560 run metres, 14 tackle breaks.

Tuaupiki ran for 207m & RTS for 210 and you're trying to sell me the figure of 560m? GTFOH unless you think a fair comparison is removing 71 minutes from a data set, which includes 6 extra tackle breaks.
Which back 5 ran for more metres per carry? Which one had less handling errors 🤔 Which one made more tackles whilst also missing less?

Had a look at the stats TT hiding at the bottom 😂 I’d say backs purely stats are pretty even could argue both ways and our pack unanimously smoked theirs 😂 Oh the good old days

no point arguing over 1 game. End of the day, our backline is shit theirs is elite.

Kayliss in at centre for CNK who can take Doyle’s spot as NSW cup fullback. Leiataua should get a recall but I trust Kayliss more defensively.

Pompey has a bit of a longer leash right now but he was as bad as CNK tonight after being one of the worst on field last week. He needs to step up.

I think we can manage Metcalf where he starts for NSW cup and plays 40mins each week but also is on the extended bench for first grade, while CHT starts at 6 and plays full games. Metcalf is nowhere near first grade ready and it’s hurting our performance and semi-derailing our season.

I have a feeling this is the start of the end for RTS. He’s sorted his contract situation out now, I’m predicting a decline in effort off the back of that. I’d say AKP is very close to being picked over him given how well he played in NSW cup on the weekend.

Did he play there last year when he got that break for metcalf to score in last year's earlier broncos game? He was named at centre, but I imagine it was still right side?

That was centre and he was WWE for a few games until Titans etc started burning him for speed, I hope he can play 12 and Laban either shift left or bench

@Dannevegas, the answer that you didn't dance around this time, you completely avoided, was the Warriors for all 3 questions.
That "elite backline" behind Tapine, Big Papa & Young have now won 1 (in golden point) of their last 8
