I have good mates in the Canadian Armed Forces. They hated Trudeau and they hate theses politician cucks. They are cheering Trumps win.
I wasnt saying every Canadian is cheering. Just giving a perspective different from a sitting politicians. And yes, everyone and their dog has some prediction about how its all going to come crashing down, but the ratio of people being wrong to right is about 100000000:1

I knew nothing about the Panama Canal until I listen to a doco yesterday, produced in the early 2000's, shortly after Panama took control. Since then the Panamanian's have funded upgrades to double the capacity of shipping in the canal & actually made it financially viable. The canal contributes like 23% of their national income.
Can see that situation escalating really quickly if the US think they can just reclaim it

I went through it in the early 70s on the final sailing of the Australis on my way to england. So well before the upgrade. Great experience & we were able to get off the ship at one point to visit the market set up alongside. I bought a t-shirt

No but there was a fairly visible presence of panamain police/ military where we stopped for the market in a kind of side lock to disembark.
It took a whole day to get through, it was mostly one lane lol and ships going the other way would park up by the side till you went thru the other way & vice versa.
Can't remember exactly how many but a few locks either end of the main channel to wait for water level to rise or lower - can't remember which was higher, the pacific or the gulf of mexico - oops, america
