I had always thought the "indigenous" crossed the Bering Strait from North Asia/Siberia but no doubt there were many waves of immigration to the area

Dont care what Donald wants to call Gulf of Mexico within USA, but i find it quite tasteless to rename the highest peak in North America, Mount Denali in Alaska to Mount McKinley who was the 25th president. The indigenous people who inhabited the area for centuries referred it to Mt Denali before a gold prospector called it Mt McKinley after the then presidential candidate. Obama had renamed it back to Denali but Donald sure likes to go back in time to when it suits him and his agenda.
