We all know Terell would only leave if we signed all 3 of the brothers, he's publicly stated that on a number of occasions.

Is this a possibility? I say NO, but man would it be great to have him.

If I was recruitment I would be considering the Mays significantly.

We know that who ever we try to replace AFB with were going to be losing out, however I really do think if we look at these brothers, when you look at it all together it kind of evens out.

AFB and Montoya are likely on 1.4mil

Terrell, Taylan and Tyrone wouldn't be on much more than 1.5 mil imo.

You lose a lot with AFB going, however as Taylan is much better than Montoya, you make some of that AFB loss up there.

Also, with SJ likely finishing up in the next year or 2, TMM and Metcalf injury prone and CHT unproven in the Webby files, I think having a back up experienced half so we don't have to move Walker there wouldnt be the worst option in the world for us.

I'd really be considering it tbh. Webby would know Taylan and Tyrone too so if we were serious about them I think that relationship could help get them over the line

I mean seriously, if the option is to pay BHU 750k or for another 750k we get a waaaay better prop (than BHU), a back up half and one of the premier wingers in the game, I wouldn't be mad

Jeeze tough crowd. 24 year old with less than 30 games experience smashing out 150+m from the bench 3 of his last 5 games (other 2 games 100+m).

Dime a dozen apparently 🤣
I mean, Ok? 🤣. Stats is cool. Eye test is stil meh. He's not a like for like replacement for AFB for me. Nothing exciting. I don't watch the roosters and go ooooooo, Please santa claus!! Send the wahs this guy lol.

If he had brothers that were middle forwards it would be perfect but for me personally I really like our outside back and bench depth to accommodate his brothers and if Montoya was to be replaced by anyone, I’d lean towards Kosi or more so Leiataua. I’d hate to block his path

You also have to remember the chooks will be even more cashed up than us after losing Joey and Suali'i at the end of this season, with Tupou also set to potentially leave. I can see Taylan slotting in straight away at the chooks, with their lack of back depth going into 2025.

I'm still all for it though.

If we need to sign Tyrone to get Terrell then that’s a no from me.

And honestly, I don’t see a huge upside in Taylan (good player, don’t get me wrong) given that we have RTS/Berry/Ali. Just not a huge priority.

Replacing AFB is kind of a fool’s game; there’s like 1-2 other players who offer the same size, drive, footwork, and ball skills. Unless we get Tino or Haas (lol), the best case scenario is finding 2x players who are a middle ground between AFB and Bunty quality wise, and possibly are young enough to have some upside. Not a ton of great talent coming off contract for ‘25, so we’re probably going to have to chase a release.

We need to stop looking at replacing AFB like it's a single player signing because it's not.

What we're looking at is signing/developing two guys, one that can provide 75/80% of AFB and then another guy who can provide the other 20/25% on top of whoever they replace (Bunty/Ale etc).

There will be no single signing solution.

Depending on what Jazz can offer throughout the season and coming off contract, he could make way for a bench recruit? Sharks have obviously locked up who they want with BHU, Colquhoun and Hau Tapuha re signed, so that leaves Hazelton with an option for 2025, Jack Williams and a potential release for Royce Hunt signed for 2025 and Oregon Kaufusi as far as sharks possibilities goes. Out of them I could see some potential in Jack Williams replacing Jazz on the bench as a middle/edge forward or potentially displacing Ford in the back row to go with another front rower from somewhere

Aside from May the only decent props for next year
Liam Knight (Doggies) although just wifed a fox league reporter so probably won't move to NZ
Max King, good prop but proberly not for us.
Ogden, Trey Mooney are my picks at this stage just judging off what's available for next year.
Although waiting for 2025 maybe a better option

Rabbitohs release Daniel Suluka Fifita from remainder of playing contract

lol what is wikipedia up to?

Whos a realistic target you consider better?
I mean, Is he a realistic target?. The may bros want to play together. I know he's off contract next year. The roosters hardly ever lose someone they want to keep. And it sounds like they want to keep him.

2026 Reagn Campbell Gillard, Wiremu Greig, Tom Hazleton, Tui Kamakimica , Oregon Kaufusi , Utoikamanu, Xavier Willison become available.
Rather wait for one or two of them than have to sign Terrell & his Bros .

If he comes as a package deal. Taylan is a handy player. I wouldn't swap him for any of our starting backs.
And Tyronne is a complete twat.

Even working by your theory (which I agree with) you still need that player who can provide 75/80% of AFB and May is still the only one I can see on the market who could do that....

I’d still be inquiring about Utoikamanu. I know people say he won’t come over but I feel like Terrell May is as much chance. 10 tackle breaks in the tigers second trial game. Just beginning his career but Xavier Willison is another I’d be asking about
