Politics Donald Trump

I'm not sure saying "the right" owns most media is necessarily a fact? Do big multinational corporations consider themselves left or right, or do they just follow the money, whichever way it goes that particular year?
Feel free to educate me, like I said I just assumed most media is left-leaning, which the majority pushed content in recent times would seem to suggest.

From wikipedia, "As of 2022, the largest media conglomerates in terms of revenue are Comcast, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Paramount Global." , which of these media companies would you consider "the right"?
If you're assuming, I'm sure you can go a bit further. Let's take an example - Fox News, which has dominated the American Media and english, and Australian media for decades.

Far right conservative neo liberal views and agenda.

You say majority pushed content. What majority? Who does it consist of? And come on, big multinationals? They only care about the agenda that makes them more money. Which happens to be neoliberal blah blah everyone's heard me say it before.

When I refer to content being mostly left leaning recently, I'm talking both news (every main news organisation that isn't Fox, which is obviously right) and entertainment (if you are also saying Hollywood isn't left leaning then I guess we just have different opinions on what left/right is).
I guess the viewership of the left leaning content is on a steep decline (e.g. all the Disney bombs last coupla years, news channel ratings slumps etc), so people are rejecting them, not necessarily for political reasons of course.

And yes we agree on the corporate multinationals being SHOWMETHEMONEY over all else 😅
But they own the aforementioned media and that was why I was confused about the "Right own most media" comment.

Fair call mate. Yeah definitely, left these days is actually to the right in old money.....times have changed, language etc.

With the decision surrounding trump in Colorado, would that mean his presidency wouldn’t be recognised there if he was to win in 2024?

The Irony is that his presidency was no longer recognized by Tens of millions of Americans who had actually voted for him when on Jan 6th he went too far for many Republican voters.
Those Voters regretted their decision the minute they saw this animal tried to overthrow their precious constitution and democracy, pevert the American dream.

He will get fcuk all votes this time, with or without Colorado.

There are just not enough deranged maga white supremacists and fascist Latinos to back him in.

Soft core racist white America, the seventy million who wanted a wall and to be able to call people names like darkies are no longer Trump obsessed because they secretly fear him and his sell out of thousands of classified documents.

I think he might win.
There's so much mud in the water I think people are just disillusioned with the whole system.
It really has just degenerated to that south Park episode , Douche v Turd Sandwich.

No chance.

People are afraid of him and his militia Klan fucktards.

He will not even survive the courts.

You have to remember the legal circus is not galvanizing people to his side.

There is no swamp to clear.

No chance of making America great again, the US is experiencing massive job growth.

The GOP has become a joke for fringe looneys.

I really think , respectfully obviously, that your underestimating them

sadly, i’m not so sure about that. i think his fan base are growing

What does this sentence even mean?

News & entertainment media has been strongly left leaning forever hasn't it? Though I imagine whoever "owns" it doesn't give a sh!t about left and right, they play both sides for their own means (money, influence, power, all that fun stuff).

Also, screw the left/right paradigm, it's stupid and outdated anyway. It's just "everyone is evil except me" these days anyway, very boring.
Fox news is the most watched news channel from memory and is very much right wing.
This is the same channel that made a massive deal about Obama and his tan suit.

A couple of points as we are discussing democracy here. I am not a Trump fan but...

How can he be disqualified, he has not been convicted of anything.

He is doing well in the polls. I suggest not all his supporters are MAGA type extremist. Even if they are they still are US citizens who are free to vote for who they want.

People also vote against candidates. They do not see Biden as supporting the US people.

Probably wishful thinking and applying faith in human nature that is just not there in the average American citizen.
Your average American is a decent human being. Your personal feelings are again clouding any rational opinion, it's like saying all Maori's are bloody thieves..

edit: the issue is how well are people informed and not just American people too, don't believe the hype!!

I think the emotional component is the most important when you are confronted by an A Moral Psychopath. Listen to your feelings and walk away, otherwise your brain will never understand them and you will make bad choices, you can never side with a Narcisist as pure as Trump and profit from that decision.

Genuinely not looking to egg you on, but a lot of ramblings you've posted on our forum give me the impression that you're a narcissist too! It's understandable though. We all get emotional, whether it's about war, politics, covid or the Warriors or ourselves..

But when referencing democracy, you can’t cherry pick the parts you want. Though you use the technicality that he hasn’t been convicted of anything, he still is yet to concede he lost the election to Biden and and he orchestrated an insurrection on a parliamentary building to try and keep power.

Can you stick to the topic please.

Agree to disagree.

You have quoted me twice and been personal in both with condescending opinions while calling me a narcissist lol have to laugh at the 'I am not trying to egg you on but.....personal attack.....

You named three threads we disagreed strongly in.

We disagree a lot.

That is fine try not to get emotional towards posters, try accept posters are allowed to be emotional about topics.
