Very inspiring and a great vision. There are opportunities in all this chaos and Canada was a country that openly stood up to trump’s early advances on them when this guy constantly said no to any chance will Canada ever be apart of America. Often the case with a brash bully that they capitulate easily often, needing all that noise to try and scare opponents. One thing I will be interested in though is what decision Carney makes on his offer to be on the board for Gaza?

We need to stand up as well, which won't happen judging on the behavior from Peters Seymour and luxon

You know he is a fuckwit.
But he is making a pertinent point on mental health.
Like speaking from personal experience here... in Australia anyway, long term mental health ' care ' isn't really done anymore. They'll keep you for a while but then it's back out onto the streets or whatever. I'm imagining that's why there's a rise in homelessness and stuff in the west. Don't get me wrong , mental hospitals were fucked places with electroshock therapy and lobotomites.

We (not the royal we, as in modern Psychiatry) still use ECT.

It is used in profound depression and sometimes Bipolar disorder.

Done under Anaesthetic, I used to observe, the voltage is very low (no convulsions, they literally watch to see a toe of the foot curl then kill the volts).

It does have minor side effects done this way, some memory loss of the day, and headaches are common - treated with panadol.

Used in the right situation it saves lives, and it works a lot faster than antidepressant therapy, a number of people ask for it based off past experience of having it.

Kind of a rich mans cure now though, because frankly unless you are standing on bridges or starving to death, dying of thirst, depression isn't hard core enough to get you a bed in a hospital now.

As for the Asylum style hospitals or bins as we called them in NZ, they needed to go. But a modern facility on that scale could do wonders, however no one would want to leave a sanitarium style country club in this day and age.

No chance. My guess is the club is designed for two purposes. One being to build a club of countries that don’t include China, and the other a promise to make them all extremely wealthy-er. With the billion dollar price tag to join. Looks as though Canada has joined, so I’m not sure what that says and haven’t heard backlash out of Canada about committing those funds? Seems wrong that Palestine aren’t involved, but they are just trying to survive the winter currently with minimal supplies able to get through. Worrying how there seems to be a real restriction of being critical of Israel, Australia’s hate speech law seems to be directed at antisemitism and Americans are now getting visits from a branch of law enforcement that are concerned over antisemitic facebook posts. Mike Pompeo has openly said they will be teaching kids in classrooms that Israel were the victims in the latest conflict and across the whole hatred for one another

Poor kids in Lake Alice got electrocuted for bad behaviour eh, that was Doctor Selwyn Leeks, he got away with it by getting dementia....

Reminds me of another Monster, Herbert Green, killed all those Women at National Women's hospital. It took a Feminist (Sandra Coney) activist to expose him in her brilliant expose for Metro "the unfortunate experiment".

I studied her work in another life.

And they lived happy retirements mainly
