Just caught last 30 minutes while waiting for a flight at Auckland airport. Quite entertaining and no shit box kicks. First 25 that I watched was terrible.
Absolute ridiculous send off earlier for accidental collision which wasn’t even penalty worthy and the victim who was responsible for the contact didn’t even go off an HIA.

I knew the All Blacks game was kick off at 9am from seeing it on the Sky Guide.
I slept in after watching the Ashes Test. Got up at 9:30am and there was only 12 minutes gone. The maths didn't add up.
I knew there was a red card and would be a bit of a delay there. I still thought they must have started late.
Same. Him and Sititi would be great at league.

It’s certainly a penalty, although not hugely intentional the Irish player braces with the shoulder and it contacts the head, no attempt to lower on a fully upright player and there’s not much choice in a card. Don’t think it deserved a red but now that it’s only 20mins they get a bit stricter on contact.

Rucking was banned because the look of people putting their sprigs into someone pinned under bodies was getting more and more scrutiny. Like the shoulder charge in league it's extinct and never coming back.
Yeah it was originally there to move a player but it devolved into a free for all if you got caught on the wrong side of the ruck. The way players have to roll away these days it’s pretty redundant to bring back rucking

Been a few comments about Razor previously and the results haven't been up to expectations so not surprising to be sacked.
I do wonder if the All Blacks will ever regain that air of invincibility again. Still have a reasonable nursery of players but declining playing numbers, other sports as options etc and other countries improving and closing the gap. Makes international games a bit more interesting I guess. Will a new coach make much difference?

They are in a death spiral.
The games been taken over by the northern hemisphere who is promoting a boring, negative game.
NZ fans and players are sick of it. As they leave, income drops, stars look elsewhere and on field results spiral down.
So no, changing coach won’t help. World rugby needs to change or at the very least, the NZRU needs an innovative game changer like Cameron George. To conservative and can’t see anything changing though.

Slimy prick. Obviously hard to work with to go through 2 assistant coaches and players unhappy. Recall his whole other country’s are interested when candidates had applied for the job performance and looked to be adding insult to the way NZ rugby had treated Foster, who had taken us to a whisker of winning the world cup grand final to which the ref has since said he got it wrong with our player carded. NZ rugby needs to choose wisely here
