Will 25k be enough?Still Bowen & Barba to come tomorrow…
It will be interesting at the completion of the game to determine whether Wiz’s ultra elite / barely first grade standard strategy has been a success…Will 25k be enough?![]()
Well he is in the club house successfully and has completed all the requirements of the game.It will be interesting at the completion of the game to determine whether Wiz’s ultra elite / barely first grade standard strategy has been a success…
I’d prob go Saifiti prop, Leniu bench; then Leka & Papali’i second row, Parker lock, with a bench of McLean, Leniu, Capewell & Clarke.I think if I was wiz I would start capewell in the second row, move Parker to front row, leniu back to the bench and bmm 18th man.
If you’re going purely off those they played fullback then I’d goU were never gonna be short on fullback options in this game- I had about 20 names written down.
Slater, Inglis and turbo were the real superstars imo- guess u could make an argument for Walsh too- the rest are all pretty much safe, workhorse types- I’d put hunt in that bracket.
Weird he got on Hodges list with only 5 fullbacks above him (ie the 6th best this era excluding current)No. Bennett needed Lockyer moreso to guide the attack, rather than Karmichael Hunt pushing him out of the fullback position.

Bennett ponders Lockyer move
Brisbane Broncos coach Wayne Bennett says he will consider moving five-eighth Darren Lockyer back to full-back if the National Rugby League club is unable to overcome its problems in defence.www.abc.net.au
If Karmichael Hunt was so good, he wouldnt have been taken out of FB position by the likes of Motu Tony, Justin Hodges. Do you remember when Hodges was moved to FB and Hunt was moved to Wing? Everyone was raving on why Hodges was not the FB.
KHunt was good for his selfless kamikaze runs though. But as being a top tier fullback you would want in your team in this game comprising of the best players in the NRL era, i personally would consider him substandard, especially with the plethora of top line fullbacks available.
Huh… I though it was to be the first to complete a team, not the best team… I thought I won and you guys are going for placing???It will be interesting at the completion of the game to determine whether Wiz’s ultra elite / barely first grade standard strategy has been a success…
My team isn’t placed yet but I’m prioritising indigenous players over vanilla like Capewah!I think if I was wiz I would start capewell in the second row, move Parker to front row, leniu back to the bench and bmm 18th man.

When? 4 games was it?If Karmichael Hunt was so good, he wouldnt have been taken out of FB position by the likes of Motu Tony, Justin Hodges. Do you remember when Hodges was moved to FB and Hunt was moved to Wing? Everyone was raving on why Hodges was not the FB.

To be fair, one of those games was the 2006 grand final
You mean when he wasn’t even 20 yet?To be fair, one of those games was the 2006 grand final
True but he was 3 seasons into his NRL career by that point, debuted at 17You mean when he wasn’t even 20 yet?
Tough judges!
Exactly. Youngest player to 100 NRL games.True but he was 3 seasons into his NRL career by that point, debuted at 17
I’m not arguing against you, as I said in an earlier post, I rate himExactly. Youngest player to 100 NRL games.
What could have been if he stayed in the NRL.
