Social Wrighty's Player Agent Game

PRESS RELEASE:

Following what can only be described as Olympic level negotiations, Gus’s Wizards have officially parted ways with the following players:

- Cameron Smith
- Jonathan Thurston
- Matt Scott

We wish them well in the future

Gus’s Warriors have since escalated the matter to the NRL Integrity Unit and are formally requesting:

- The immediate return of all monies paid
- An additional 10% penalty fee on Hodges Management to be donated to junior player development in the Bulldogs catchment area.

Furthermore, Gus’s Warriors propose that the above players either:

- Be blacklisted for the remainder of the Wizards contract term or;
- future purchasers pay compensation to Gus’s Wizards equivalent to 10% of the new contract value for wasted whiteboard diagrams.

Effective immediately, Gus’s Wizards have blacklisted all direct dealings with Hodges Agency. Any future negotiations involving players from their stable must now be conducted via a neutral third-party organisation or smoke signals.

Ps: That new Lamborghini being gifted next week, Hodges? It’s been reassigned and will be donated to our new preferred player agent, Isaac Moses!

The NRL Integrity Unit is investigating claims that a team is under intense scrutiny after they themselves revealed that they were planning on gifting expensive favours to player agents for favourable outcomes. An unnamed and respected Player Agent is reportedly assisting the NRL with their investigations. The NRL has already cleared the Player Agent from any under the table dealings with all evidence to date suggesting it had been initiated by a team owner eager to land some big names. If found guilty, there will be catastrophic repercussions for Gus's team.

I am going to rule on this and I will take into account what @Chris Hodges input

Under the rules of the Game you are allowed to give a player back if you refuse to do a Hodges Intervention. The only current intervention is the Cameron Smith extra $250K, You can under the rules give up on Cameron Smith and get your money back and avoid this intervention.

You may not give up Jonathan Thurston and Matt Scott as there interventions are over you are stuck with them.

If you give up Cameron Smith he goes in the draft tomorrow, you get your $5M back, and you may not bid on him ever again. AND the Hodges Agency will take your recalcitrance into account for future dealings.

But you have to keep Thurston and Scott.

Yes, Teams themselves cannot choose to erase bad recruiting decisions by dropping players they dont want. And this is why i am against 100% refunds for players walking out too.

But i am happy to take players back i want, and ban Wizards from recruiting from out stable as a suitable option.

We both know this was thoroughly investigated previously and all the gifts links back to a completely unrelated entity trading out of the Caymen Island.

No link was ever established to Gus’s Wizards.

Ps you are not invited to my private golf course ever again so you have Wednesday afternoons free again.

We said a 100% refund was available just for Smith in this case in the rules but I retain the right to change rules as I see fit. And based on your input that you don't support a 100% refund I will change this effective immediately to a 90% refund so for Smith Wizards will only get $4.5M back.

Thurston and Scott can be 18th and 19th man. They do not represent the values of Gus’s Wizards.

Their value will plummet come next contact so you can cancel next years Bali trip 😜

This is outrageous! As below Hodges orchestrated the release of his star signing so he can get more money, as his value has gone up after learning our superior training techniques!
Rumours persist that the highest contracted player in the game to date may be on the lookout for another club shortly.
We made Cam Smith the player he is today!

Ok I am glad we resolved this. Haha. Thanks for the wind up. Yes 18th man and 19th man is up to you.

You know the media and Zero Tackle they report all types of stuff. Pay less interest next time.

Mate, you don’t know what was really happening behind the scenes in the team, Hodges had Smith trying to talk a group of players into jumping to R360.

The rumour were real!

Buyer beware with Hodges recruits!
Was Smith's speech to the group of players with him standing in the middle of a circle addressing them like he did to the Warriors after the Storm beat us 70 to 10?
