Tbf Ukraine from the start has been a State dept project driven by the US. I’m not really sure why the UK got so keen, I’m sure there’s history.
I’m not sure how into it the French and German agencies were. I was being hyperbolic
. Their politicians have certainly been beating the war drum. But the abysmal state of European politics means it’s murky asf. A lot of political turmoil and shifts to the right, combined with cratering economic outlooks gives a pretty compelling reason to find a mutual enemy.
Two reasons the war assessment is so off,
1. No one has fought a near peer war since WW11

After finding out today from trump that Putin wants Ukraine to succeed, there’s probably a big change of heart from the Ukrainians. Heartbreaking for them so much of their beautiful country has been destroyed by no fault of their own.
