I really think its worth blooding Mariu, next year we have test vs England, Australia and India.

Bracewell is a waste of space in the test lineup, also over Young.

Surely there's a better bowler than tickner?

With only 1 Plunket shield round so far Tickner is the best option available at the moment. O'Rourke, Jamieson, Sears or Fisher would be there if they weren't injured. Kristian Clarke could have been a bolster.
