International Pacific Championship

Pretty big of Eli and his family to take this attitude. I see TMM reached out in the last couple of days and said he’s willing to help in any way. Could be some real concerns for his playing future

Some of that response will be cultural (you cannot separate the individual from the Family unit either).

Having Woolf there will ensure the family and the player make positive statements about the organization.

The cynic in me wonders about Woolfs whole motivations (I say whole because I am sure he feels for the player). But it is a bit like if you or I were in an industrial accident - then our boss was by our bedside daily......

He is already slightly past the longer average stay time in hospital.

I would say his situation is pretty severe without knowing more, for the Uncle to say he is getting stronger - suggests some physical weakness - but that is only clutching at straws (this is second or third hand information and it is a very general statement by someone who is presumably non medical).

Te Maire will be a great resource for him, in terms of the experience side to recovery.

First time I have heard from the bloke.

He is a really bright guy.

We seem to have a number of smart men who happen to be footballers in this generation.

His family must be so proud of him.

Difficult subject to speak out on when you are in the spotlight and have to live in the community.

He spoke with courage and conviction. Certainly someone to be admired.

I dunno what he is doing post footy career wise, but he is someone that would be good to see being utilized at Penrose.
