Bit of a weird one, but just off YouTube alone I’m more impressed with the Harry Inch signing than AKP.
Could be a ghost this time next year, who knows
but his passing, ball skills and direct running look top shelf.
That drop goal was filthy too — kid’s got plenty of confidence!
We already know what we’re getting with AKP — plenty of tries, dodgy D, and not many metres coming out of trouble.

I have a lot of faith in Rocco “if” he gets his injuries sorted. 2026 really is a make or break season for him.

We need to find a way to get Dallin off the books before his contract ends in 2027. Ideally next year.
He will struggle to make our NSW Cup team next year. Based on this year Kali and Tu are both better than DWZ. It is a waste of our salary cap.
Does anyone know how much money we are paying Dallin per year?
Then we have CNK who also will be taking a chunk of our salary cap. Unless he gets injury free over the off season and adds something to his game, I think I would lean towards TT as fullback and that's not something I thought I would say. And we don't need CNK at centre if Ali, Pompey and Berry are there.
If we had CNK and DWZ's salary (along with Roger's) to spend for 2027 we could buy an elite fullback and have plenty left over for an extremely good winger/prop/half (depending on how our juniors progress).

Gave up four years ago diagnosed with the big D
DWZ and CNK can’t be faulted for their lack of self preservation in running the ball back.
However DWZ has got worse with his defensive reads and CNK is now too slow.
Webby has persevered with them thinking their experience is valuable in a team with lots of youth.
The youth don’t need them anymore and if Webby is the man he will shift them to reserve grade.
AKP could be anything in a new and settled environment.
And I still think Webby has been prepping TT to be the fullback in 2026.
Would I buy NAS.
Yes and maybe we are just negotiating his price.
He ticks the hyphenated box for starters.
I don’t think he’s washed up as some suggest
He’s never been overtaxed with minutes and he could fill a void for a year or two.
Webby can improve his discipline.
A better signing than Moale for mine.

Gifted Tasman playmaker Harry Inch has long been regarded as a future star of the 15-man game from his time at Nelson College where he earned national secondary school selection.
The 19-year-old had been signed to a multi-year contract with the Tasman Mako as well as the NZR development programme.
Tasman CEO Steve Mitchell told the Herald that Inch had “signalled his intent to go and play rugby league” and that everyone at the union was “gutted” to lose a local product like Inch. He also acknowledged that Tasman was a “stepping-stone union” and they’re “not here to stop kids” from following their dreams.
After gaining selection in the Crusaders development programme, Inch had some game time in pre-season, lining up outside veteran pivot James O’Connor against the Blues at Kirwee.
The Crusaders clearly saw huge potential in Inch, who had previously turned down the Warriors. Crusaders assistant coach James Marshall spoke at the start of the year about how pleased they were to have him.
“We had to fight pretty hard to keep him away from the Warriors, who offered him a pretty long-term deal up there. I was just stoked that we could get him in the environment because, man, I see a massive future for him,” said Crusaders assistant coach James Marshall in February.
Inch was regarded by the Crusaders as a long-term prospect at either 10 or 12. It’s not clear yet where he would play in the 13-man code.
New Zealand Warriors head of recruitment Andrew McFadden told the Herald “there’s interest there” but “nothing’s been achieved”, suggesting the move is yet to be finalised.
Reported to be joining Inch in the code switch is his long-time teammate Saumaki Saumaki. The powerful loose forward is thought to be taking his talents to South Sydney next season, joining the Rabbitohs. Saumaki and Inch were in Nelson College’s First XV that finished runners-up to Hamilton Boys’ High School in the 2024 Top Four final. They were both selected for NZ Secondary Schools last year and both turned out for High School Old Boys in the Christchurch club competition in 2025 and the Crusaders U20s.
Crusaders CEO Colin Mansbridge says the franchise is “disappointed not to retain them” and “wish them all the best” with their futures
Happy about AKP, now when he’s at his fastest and for only two years is a great result.
Obviously has defensive issues to work on but I reckon he’s the fastest player in the NRL and we badly need speed. It will also create space for others as the opposition winger will need to stay wide to stop AKP gassing him on the outside.

Meh, we’ve got two young gun wingers in AKP and Mellars on the books + the young backs coming through pathways. He’s a surplus to requirements atm.

I understand wanting to move on from DWZ (I do too) but trading him for a faster player who also cant catch a bomb and wont take any tough carries isnt gonna help.
He doesnt like the physicality of the game, maybe he gets a major attitude shift but im not hopeful
