Anyone here that backpacked India / SEAsia in the mid 2000s? Thats probably the start of my personal views of Israel / Palestine. If you have spent a bit of time in those places, you probably know what I’m talking about

Too true. I probably come off on here as a bit of a tosser but I think a lot of the time I'm just a bit jaded. And cynical of groups that swarm to issues that have existed for a while, so feel it is a bit inauthenticThe protests have always been there, it's the filters we have applied to what we hear about or view that suppress this conversation across decades. It's been one sided forever.
Yeah I have a laugh believe it or not, lately though there's deadly serious stuff taking precedence. Thanks for the recommendation

Re- the book. I'm pretty sure the author had to tone it down and he faced a lot of backlash from the Sydney & Melbourne diaspora, who have a lot of influence
Did they actually have any aid on board or was this just another chance to try and keep herself relevant? Some question marks around the funding of this flotilla as well popping up.
Not true Mr Brownstone according to key stakeholders that I deal with on a daily basis. EG a major truck importer who was moving up to 10 units per week plus last year had only one sale last week and it was in the farming industry. Construction company for the first time ever are laying off staff. Not sure where the green shoots are that this government is talking about but they like to bang on about itTwo completely unrelated issues. Interestingly I heard further evidence yesterday from a key stakeholder that the economy is starting to see green shoots. This all before a likely 50bp cut.
Haven't you posted about these green shoots regularly... Next years our year maybe. Two completely unrelated issues. Interestingly I heard further evidence yesterday from a key stakeholder that the economy is starting to see green shoots. This all before a likely 50bp cut.
Nah we’ll start to see things turn up a little before the years out. Our economy isn’t just Auckland & Wellington.Haven't you posted about these green shoots regularly... Next years our year maybe.
I’ve got family down there in farming and in law and they are thriving industries. I was painting cowsheds as a fallback around 2018 onwards where dairy was receiving record payouts and it’s gone up each payout since and very much is what’s keeping this country going currently. The cowsheds dried up over the past few years but there’s meant to be a whole lot in the pipeline for next year but are mainly down southPlenty of green shoots down here in the land of the free. Got 80 head of Charolais cross making the most of it. Beef schedule going through the roof.
Bring it on
Yeah. The farm industry is going great but that's not happening elsewhere.I’ve got family down there in farming and in law and they are thriving industries. We run a few head of dry stock and have done for a number of years. I’ve never seen the P2 schedule this high. plenty of rain and a reasonably mild winter have done the trickI’ve got family down there in farming and in law and they are thriving industries. Just to change the subject briefly and not really to do with politics but found out that papers overseas are reporting because there’s no suppression over there just like how everyone knew who Grace Millane’s killer was, that there was in fact a baby with Tom Phillips and his kids and that the worst case that people suspected is true. Best thing would probably be for these kids to start a new life in another country where they start fresh and anyone who thought this guy was a hero needs their head readYeah. The farm industry is going great but that's not happening elsewhere.
Not too sure about beef, but dairy has risen and risen. My family was about to sell up but are staying onboard with the potential sale of assets and payouts tooWe run a few head of dry stock and have done for a number of years.
