Kemp putting himself forward as a candidate?
I actually think the culture of the team has been improving under Maguire so what Kemp is saying isn't fair on him. They look to be a united bunch enjoying putting the black jersey on. Tests and victories against Australia are also rare and it's such a short tournament I have no problem with Madge playing the best 17 in the weekend. It's better for us heading into the final.

I don’t think we should change manu to fb etc. we just need to get our forward rotations better. I don’t think neame and Thompson bring enough especially now with haas and tino to start then collins. It’s too much power but I don’t know what the answer is

The option is to do abit of a storm model where you get Nelson to start right edge with jahrome feeding him then bring on nikora 30min in to swap nas back to middle.

They need to find some type of energy in the middle.

This next game for Madge is going to be crucial if the Kiwis don't at least put in a competitive performance, it will make the decision to appoint him as Blues coach look pretty stupid.

People being way too hard on Madge

Not one member of this kiwi spine would make ‘Australia A’
I take your point but apart from RTS and Shaun Johnson (Johnson past would not have necessarily made it either) you could apply that argument of not making Australia A of nearly every modern Kiwis players.

Don't get me wrong, blaming Madge is not the answer.

People have short memories, the tournament is not over, it would be foolish to write the Kiwis off this week.

I think Hughes is awesome. But we have no attacking plays going out wide... Really spoilt after watching Shaun this year, watching the Kiwis attack last week really highlighted how well the Warriors attacking plays were this year.

The forwards are doing fine, the backline is talented = just need good attacking sets in their half. Otherwise the only time we're gonna score is getting into the 20 and off a Hughes short kick.

Usually we would have had other players coming in for the final. I think our depth has been tested by defections to the islands. Hopefully they can surprise in the game at home.

Anyone attending the game on Saturday? I'm from Auckland and have never been to FMG stadium, any tips on the best grand stand? Where to park etc

I think the Brian Perry Stand (the one with aisle 5 6 7 8 etc) is the best imo. $87 tickets though is pricey.

Parking is pretty easy - for the Warriors game I just parked the North end of Victoria street and walked.

If only the stadiums in Auckland and that sort of location and access.

I'm going - haven't been to FMG for close to 20 years but have bought in the Brian Perry Stand. Figure if nothing else at least I'll get the best view of the anthems!

It's also a shame both of the Kiwi Ferns v Jillaroos games were in Australia. I would've wanted to have gone early to support the girls, but I guess the NRL doesn't give a shit about developing the game for young women here.

Brian Perry stand is by far the best. A lot easier to get beers and urinal!

Does anyone know how well it’s sold?? I’m a little worried there will be a tiny crowd. I looked yesterday and could get 10 tickets in a row in every section 😬😬

I had a look through a bunch of the sections and sales look absolutely dire. The fact they're doing 25% off tickets would back that up. Really don't know what they were thinking with the pricing.

I wonder if they'll end up giving a bunch away to try ensure its not too bad a look on TV.
