Is the rate per 100,000 based on per 100,000 of that ethnic grouping or kids in total? For example Is that saying in 2021 there is a total of 21.9 deaths per 100,000 - or is it saying that of kids that are classified as Asian there are 0.9 deaths per 100,000 of that group?

Yes it’s firearm related mortality. Homicide / suicide. And it’s per cohort so for Asian kids it’s 0.9 deaths per 100,000 of that group.
Why are those factors not affecting Asian kids?

Or what about black veterans back in the 60s(not 100% on the exact timeline so could be a decade or 2 off) not getting the same financial aid towards purchasing a home as their white counterparts that fought in the war.
