Yeah, losing out our top 4 spot that we had for like 75% of the year due to a handful of dour performances against unfavoured opposition leading into the finals definitely has soured the excitement across the board.
I'm just not feeling at all confident about this week, and the way the NRL has scheduled the game against the All Blacks has added an extra layer of annoyance to my general mood - not cos I want to watch the ABs, but cos I'll be watching the game in town and shudder to think about the smug ABs fans giving us hearty Warriors fans grief as we are relegated to one end of the pub not on the main screens (especially if we are being spanked) once it's time for ABs to haka it up.
We've done well against expectations (both preseason and post major injuries), but I fear the return of the Woeful Worriers barbs from media/mates/society in general if this weekend ends up with another Panthers finals thrashing tagged with a successful ABs victory
