Also, what the fuck was Moses crying about in his interview afterwards. Penalty count was 3-5 to us. Sounded like he implied we got a massive leg up?
I heard his comments very differently - thought he was careful to clarify that it was the Eels own fault for giving away more penalties but basically that he was proud of them for overcoming that adversity despite it being self inflicted.

Yeah, Erin only 140m and 28 tackles less than 50 minutes. Bloke should be ashamed.

Charnz...average. Only 320m.
Fish? Terrible. Only 180m.
DWZ, another poor performance. 170m and no poor reads.

Guys, some of yas need to get a grip. Yes, we didn't win and there were some poor aspects for sure, but the effort is clearly there.

Just one of those nights when things go against you. I think, up until the 35 min when Moses kicked and it ricoched off our player back into an Eel for an error was our first bit of luck. Everything fell their way.
When was the last 100m try in the first 5 minutes of a game? That shit neeeever happens.

Imo that's the best we've played in about 5 games and we lost. That's ruba leeg for ya
it's 30 years without a premiership, we are allowed to whinge!

Getting back from 20 - 4 to 20 - 16 you simply have to go on with it.

Allowing Parra to score again off their very next set was when the match was lost, we all knew it.

We did well to get back to 26-22 and the bunker call is a tough pill to swallow but that try should not have been needed.

This team couldn't lose close, they are back to not being able to win close.

3 losses at home by 6 points or less
1 loss by 8 points
1 loss by 10 points.

Should have been Top 4 in a canter this year.
Pompeys try was legit there was no knock on, all of us could see it, the bunker killed us... makes you wonder where the real money is invested ..

Why does Cnk take so many hit ups
Sure 320 m in total
But does that reduce his gas in defence?
Cht died with the ball few times
Cnk is not an attacking threat no linking no passing just smash it up one out
Jfh seemed to take yet another head knock at 28 minutes in could barely get up
Egan looks a bit burnt out
Our edge defence held up again but got beaten by some against the run of play tries
We need some speed added to this team bit more subtle attack and less one out stuff
Boyd went ok second half
Maybe that's what's going wrong CNK. He's trying very hard, maybe taking on too much and then getting caught out later one?

CHT maybe it's a pressure thing for him. He's got the talent there.

Charnze should have made that tackle on Iongi. for the game winning try Give CNK the rest of the season and playoffs and then maybe Taine is first choice next year. I noticed CNK also never passes when he gets the ball in the red zone. Just pins his ears back and dashes for the line against over whelming odds when there are opportunities wider.
He certainly runs with blinkers on ...Not a FG Fullback IMHO .. wouldn't mind that eels FB he's got some skills.. made a fool of CNK .. but I'm pretty sure CNK would have been pretty gassed after doing the two attack runs in the set before..

170m by DWZ?!
That’s not even half of one lap around MSS… USELESS ball watcher who spends too much time holding his jaw

The way we aim to play, grinding sides down. We should be aiming to play out every extra set we get a six again. Especially the ones close to the 40 where we can play it out and get field position.

The Egan knock on after the six again is a good example.

In the opposition 20 you might forgive not playing out the set after the six again if it is a pass or a run in a try scoring play. Not a poor play the ball like the CNK one.

The six agains are a good opportunity to get some more defence into the opposition.

Noticed quite a few games after a six agian we have given away the ball too easy.

I actually thought the refereeing was good for the most part.. I much prefer a 50/50 no call than an Adam Gee style finding reasons to blow the whistle..

In saying that I'm fully with Wayne Bennett that the bunker should be scrapped.

Scrutinising every try looking for a reason not to allow it seems to be counter productive.

I'd throw the captains challenge in the same wheelie bin as the bunker. Empower the refs to make calls knowing that their call will stand and roll with the old school "benefit of the doubt to the attacking team." Video ref available for the on field official to consult if they're unsure.

The extra use of technology gives the feeling that every call should be perfect. They won't be. There's too much ambiguity in the game for every decision to be black and white, I'd rather back the refs on the park and be done with it.

being a bit dramatic here, we were clearly on top all game, two unlucky tries in the first half did us in.

Out side of that defence needs some work good bones coming into finals and the young players will be good for seeing it

Webby needs to get out the gold plated abacus and find out a way for us to not play a home game in the finals.

Once again the whole boring grind game except having the dropsies, doesn't really work very well does it. Rather counter-intuitive.

Really liked the left side shape we can create at times. The right edge is largely non-existent for shape.

If we are being honest some pretty yuck defensive decisions on their trys, didn't feel like they had to overly earn them hence them being mostly mid-long range.

Uh what a deflating way to start the weekend. Potentially slipping out of the four, and then Brooky away for DCE's farewell game.
