I reckon closer to 3 years than 5 at the rate the juniors are coming through this year, we're ahead of schedule even if we fall over now due to all the crucial injuries this season.

Preface what I'm saying with; I was at the game watching high and side on. Have no idea about the stats nor had multiple views. So later I'll likely double down or double back on this.
Surprised to see so many only mention attacking within the 20 and our defense on the edges. I'll need to rewatch but I honestly think we lost because we did not play our style well.
We lost the grind, plain and simple. They gained more meters per run than we did. Kicked further than we did. When they got a penalty they were more ambitious with kicks for meters instead of us. Which just resulted in them having more chance on ourside. Where it felt like we only had about 20 mins of the game in there's defensively or offensively.
It felt like a mixture of our kicks just not getting as far as they used to as the titans put immense amounts of pressure on Boyd.
Our kick chase being non existent (maybe if we booted it more to our one good edge on the left...).
And finally we had no defensive line speed. Foren had all the time in the world to do anything he wanted. They made massive meters per run compared to us.
There are only a few teams who can match the titans in speed. We are probably the worst at it. If we cannot grind them until we're on their 20 to start some attacking sets. We are not scoring. No linebreaks before then has a player (outside of Leka) who has the speed to score anymore.
So the game was over for us in the last 15 when we started trying that.

The Titans basically played the way we played early season to get to where we are.Just when you thought the Eels beating the Broncos couldn't be topped. Then this happens. Very disappointed in our performance tonight. Sure the Titans deserve credit for holding us to 6 points for 70 minutes, but to have a dream start like we did then produce that performance is very frustrating. I hope this loss doesn't come back to haunt us come September. Sort them out Webby!

Got to agree Leon,Mt Smart is no fortress,never is even though that's what they advertise it as.I blew a head gasket at Team List Tuesday. TT dropped, Capewell in the centres again — reeks of an inexperienced coach leaning way too heavily on veterans.
We are fielding the slowest backline in the club’s history. TT wouldn’t crack the top 50 for pace among NRL backs, but he’s still miles quicker than anyone we’re rolling out. It’s glacial out there.
This club has a habit: an epic win one week, then short-priced favourites at home the next… and we completely shit the bed. I’ve seen this movie too many times — and it never ends well.
Our attack is pedestrian, predictable, and painfully sideways. We don’t even contest bombs until we’re behind and desperate. There’s no evolution, no urgency, just a game plan stuck in molasses.
No point playing wide with plodders. And it shows — we’re $31 to win the comp and barely inside the top 10 in title betting. It wouldn’t shock me at all if we fall off a cliff from here and miss the eight.
Dolphins, Dogs, Titans away… a Moses-inspired Eels and Manly on the road — we could lose every one of them. Hope I end up with egg on my face, but right now? Not holding my breath.
Also gotta ask — to the fans going to the games at Mt Smart: are we a little too conservative in the stands? Feels like the crowd only really finds its voice when we’re in front. Where’s the fire when we’re under the pump?
Our home record is ordinary again this season. Mt Smart’s not a fortress — more like a rental. We’ve been unbeaten in NSW and dropping games at home. That’s backwards. We need to bring that same edge and energy to our own turf — from the stands and the field.

The only time the crowd were in full voice was for a few minutes from the finish.
From my observations the warriors supporters in the away matches make far more noise then we do here.

Joel Caine — one of the sharper pundits and punters out there — pointed out the exact moment Blayke Brailey’s game shifted. He went from barely running 30 metres a match to punching out 90+ consistently… and it all started the night a young bloke named Samuel Healey debuted in that Shark Park bloodbath.
Kid’s a dynamic runner, loves an offload, has genuine spark. So naturally, I fully expect Webster to coach that straight out of him.

Who has Webster coached the spark out of? And if he does somehow do this, should we not be kicking him out ASAP if our intention as a club is to be primarily next man up?
Seems absurd to let a coach stay who is antithetical to the clubs main ethos.

I was at last week’s game and watched him closely — hobbling, with the trainer in tow, clearly trying to run out the soreness. It’s ridiculous that fans in the stands can see it… but the coach still picks him again.
He got busted up in Origin, and Stevie Wonder could see the bloke needs a rest or at least a stint off the bench.
Eight weeks ago, he wasn’t limping around with $400 worth of strapping holding his knee together.
So what’s going on here — is Webster actually running this ship, or are the players calling the shots? TT is what’s best for the team, and CNK has performed well in the centres in the past, especially at International level.
