Would it be feasible and How much would it cost(ballpark figure) to outsource it to a larger gaming company with the NRL covering the costs and getting a percentage of profits to keep both parties happy. Like someone else mentioned they need to look at it as an expense for promoting the sport worldwide and take the hit. Who knows they may almost break even if the game sells well.
This is off course assuming people that have never heard of league may check out the video game if it's a good game. No idea about that.

They did, with EA. $50 - 60 million was the ballpark.
My guess is that the NRL already did this with BlueAnt.
I like the idea of using videogames as a marketing outlet, but it's just never going to be cost effecient. They need to cultivate more of an audience first. Also, bare in mind, the video game still requires a marketing budget (extra 25 - 50% of the production cost).
That's a hell of a hit for a company to take where there's better brand visibility found elsewhere. They could pay less money and reach more people by doing stuff like Vegas.

My personal delusion would be for the HB studios, who developed the EA Sports Cricket and Rugby games back in the day, to make a league game.
They are now owned by 2K Sports and produce their PGA2K series. So you get the big-name publisher, at (what I like to imagine would be) a reasonable enough cost.
Pipe dreams though.. Big Ant is apparently looking to open a Brisbane studio, so we can only hope development of League games moves away from Melbourne/Adelaide to there.

Big shake-ups to the player ratings overnight. The overalls are completely fucked now, looks to be 30 or more players above 90.

It's pretty amateur tbh. Not only is the game mechanisms extremely poor and buggy, it's clear that the people who have made this don't actually get Rugby League.

Tbf thats been fixed. There has been patches everyday for the past week which has fixed some stuff mentioned. Appadently big updare coming on monday too. Its still a rll4 engine but atleast its more playable now
