Very similar to the doggies game last year when he was held up over the line. Glad he got another chance to win it and blew it away with flying colors

Just holy fuck - clone him.

It was a horribly controlled game, both by us (in the second 20 of both halves) and the third team out there.

So yeah, taking that - cos I reckon we deserved that win - Knights are not good and shouldn't have been given a sniff.

Seriously can we please see Leka in space more, either by playing wider or literally at centre - the objections that it's a different and more difficult position to defend from shouldn't outweigh the nuclear option, what's the point in having that weapon if we don't hit the button?

To be honest, most of the team was fairly absent tonight.

We played heaps better in the second half, we shut down their amazing left edge strike, we made good meters, controlled the game.

We deserved to win you eggs. That is what good teams do, correct a bad start and go on and win anyway they can....which is often a freak play or player breaking the minnows heart.

I would argue that game sums up our season.

Pretty average team with an average game plan saved by individual brilliance. Been happening all year.

Not sustainable but might be enough to hold on to top 4.

We've been given every indication this year that we are not a top 4 team, at some point need to start believing what we are seeing.

Disappointed it took until the last couple of minutes to actually play some enterprising attack, way too robotic before that.

Not hard to see why Boyd has been running around reserve grade for years, ice man he is not.

Take the 2 points, flush the dunny and hope to christ the Titans don't bring their A game to Mt Smart.

I generally agree with what you say but I don't think we deserved to win this one.
We needed to make a statement and we should have against the Knights team that took the field and we came within one play of having our pants pulled down.
We should never have been in that position

I was impressed with Taine's ability to scramble in defense and stop those tries. Was the second best highlight of the game.

There was some funny officiating for both sides. Most of what irritated me was in the first half. When it gets close the refs tend to let it flow in the second half.

The roll ball call was fair enough. The problem when a referre gives those against your side you start seeing terrible play the balls for the opposition that aren't given.

Agreed. Boyd, running the game as 7 with Metcalf for the x factor and clutch kicking (just not normal kicking lol) as 6 might be our answer.

CHT doesn’t have x-factor but in him though?
I would rather give the 6 to TMM

He did well as the last line of defence. Agree definitley worth mentioning.

They have been ridiculed and at the center of the media fire all week. Their coach is going and that means the players are going to be next.

They were literally playing with their back against the wall.

They aren't a primary school team, they're jam packed with talented players.

This was never going to be a PD padding game.
