Pretty nuts that i) we've only had 2 games at Mt Smart since round 3 and ii) our last 5 wins have been in Aussie. Been over 2 months since our last victory at Mt Smart. We are long overdue.

He has FG experience. I can only surmise it is something other than ability.
I think we're too woke to our potential to take anyone in the comp lightly, especially these guys - they're a dangerous side with real pedigree - however, we're at home for the first time in ages, will be coming off a bye after the most complete game to date, and so will be wanting to flex again, locking in the gains - we're in the hunt for a minor premiership now and so should be fixing to win every encounter. The guys are in it for each other and for us, the die-hards, day oners and the band wagoners, everyone is welcome and we want blood, every game... Panthers imo will be there at the pointy end of the season, too - probably starting to peak at the right time, they're a long way off right now though, so we get them at a good time - can't take that opportunity blindly and I have the trust that we'll be there, ready to roll - there hasn't been prolonged complacency all year, there can't be for this one either.Just roll with last week's team but replace Capewell with Berry. I'd give Egan another week if the hip is not 100%. He's too important to risk losing for an extended period if he comes back too early.
Want us to flex our premiership muscles by going ruthless on these guys. They may be depleted by origin but they are still the 4 time defending champs. They have the potential to surprise us if we think we just have to turn up to win. I know the boys, especially fish, will be looking to rip into them and won't have complacency on their mind. But in case they need a reminder of what can happen if you underestimate Penrith cubs, just have to recall the last time we played an injury depleted penrith team during origin in 2018. We were actually coming 4th then and Penrith were 5th. Their baby side, led by a young Luai actually, ripped us apart 36-4:

Match Highlights: Panthers v Warriors - Round 17, 2018
A masterclass from rookie halfback Jarome Luai has propelled an undermanned Penrith Panthers outfit to a 36-4 win over the New Zealand Warriorswww.nrl.com
You either drink the coolaid, or you don't.
We run off vibes and comradery now.
Coolaid? In our land we call it brownies
Whadda ya mean 'our land'?
Edit: Sorry, removed a joke that was probably in poor taste, given what I've learnt about your heritage lol
we swapped brownies for fish
There's joke about Jesus feeding the unfed in there somewhere, but I can't quite think of it.
Play Capewell at Center.
Yeah nahPlay Capewell at Center.
I don't agree with all the calls from fans to rest Capewell, I didn't realize we had so many FRACP members here (Fellow of the Royal college of Physicians).
At center for the Warriors he hardly does anywhere near the kind of workload that would threaten his well being given he has been conditioned as an eighty minute back row forward for most of his career and played Reps.
I think our Shortland Street Doctor Ropata's need to stop equating Barnetts freak injury with medical absolutes.
Yeah nah
Ever flown Perth / Bris Syd Melb
It’s long long flight quite often late at night arriving early hours of morning to transfer to a Nz flight from Syd Melb
Getting back to Nz feeling like a crushed cauliflower
Two days or three days after origin yeah nah
I dont think he is in the top 30 this year, so isnt eligible. We are thin in the Centres. MGT has not come into calculations even before he signed for Souths. He is killing it in Cup. He has FG experience. I can only surmise it is something other than ability.
Proves I m not an athlete.Depends on how much of a game he has. He might get five minutes of origin.....
Henry and Robbie Paul flew to Kiwis training from England and went straight from the Airport to the one training session before playing Australia the next day.
They took Melatonin in flight to level out their body clocks.
Muhamad Ali and George Foreman fought at four AM in Africa and set the world record for most punches thrown in a heavy weight title fight (broken by David Tua).
It all depends on how the athlete is feeling, he might arrive back fizzing. Some people - especially athletes are not affected in the same way as the average joe.
Capewell fly's a lot....he is a Warrior......
They probably won't play Capewell, maybe name him as a contingency on the extended bench then wait to see what Ivan does with his Origin lot?Proves I m not an athlete.
I dont even like the effects of flying GC -AKL.
Yes Rocco berry will be back so centre slots are covered. They probably won't play Capewell, maybe name him as a contingency on the extended bench then wait to see what Ivan does with his Origin lot?
looks like he will be starting in the second row. So he's going to get much more than 5 minutes. If he's defending down Latrell's side, I expect he will have a very physically bruising night.Depends on how much of a game he has. He might get five minutes of origin.....

Panthers forum is debating the same thing: they are seriously hoping that Ivan makes the SOO boys back up from Perth. Given the dire nature of their finals situation, I understand their desperation. But given our comfortable position up the pointy end of the ladder, we have the luxury to not take such risks. I hope (and expect) webby won't go that route with Capewah. Asking him to playing 3 games in 11 days only increases the risk of serious injury. He's too important for our side to bear that long term risk. Him, Barney gone for the year would be devastating.
Players always want to play if the choice is theirs. That's their nature as risk-takers. I'm sure Webby knows that his job is to adopt a more holistic view. The risk of serious injury only 3 days after a grueling SOO match increases dramatically. The risk of Losing both Barney and Capewell to season ending injuries would be devastating for our cause. No need to take such risks when i) you have Berry coming back and ii) Leka/Laban are more than capable of holding down the fort as the starting back row as the sharks game showed. It will come down to a simple and short conversation "how are you? do you want to play?
