Not Russia/Ukraine war, but a war all the same. I’m not a fan of this girl but I’m struggling to understand why supporting Palestine is supporting hamas? Americans are enraged universities are protesting on behalf of Palestine but they don’t seem to be able to distinguish that they’re protesting the innocent Palestinians being massacred. Are all Palestinians represented by hamas? I’m pretty sure they don’t hold elections to have them as representatives just like Afghanistan don’t, are Palestinians expected to overthrow hamas that doesn’t support them? I fully agree with Israel avenging those kidnapped and in no way condone those atrocities but at what point does it become disproportionate in their pursuit of hamas militants to murder so many innocent? It seems there’s very little push back against how far Israel is going for the fear of being labelled antisemitic

It sounds cyn8cal but the threat of being called antiseptic and the hangover from WW2 seems to be being used as a mask and a conversation ender for the atrocities currently being committed.
