A few interesting nuggets for the NSW Cup Team.

Ali Leiataua named to start at centre! Why not the NRL team?

Kosi is named, and Harper edges out Amituanai. That tells me where Amituanai is at and that we possibly need to either one: Extend kosi and Harper or Two: go to the market.
Have to see if there is a 24 hour switch up to move Ali into the FG team, Harper to center and then Amituanai to wing.

I was hoping to see Amituanai progress a lot further this year after moving from the Panthers. But if anything it feels like he has regressed a little bit. Gotta give him time regardless as I think there is potential still there.

You could forgive the yardage work if he is a finisher.

I've watched bugger all cup so can't judge who's playing better than who, and all selections should be merit based, but when was the last time a fulltime squad member was dropped down to the local comp? This year we've seen the Bulldogs & Tigers play top 30 players in Ron Massey so other clubs are more ruthless.
Kosi played some atrocious footy in Cup last season but always retained his spot so I don't see Harper lining up in Fox Memorial any time soon even if it was warranted

Yup but he's not playing above to say nah nah, he's staying either right?

That's what I would want to see from a young guy who's close to a spot in a NRL team.

We also don't owe Harper any favors.

I'm not saying Harper should be dropped either, I think he's well ahead of Amituanai, but some here have a hard on for this kid.

I won't be surprised or pissed if Harper signs on here. He's closer to anyone we have in cup down to play NRL.

It's a long season and Kosi is proof that Webby and Cappy are patient with improvements and predicting ceilings of players. If Aminatuai is not the one he will get released as well. Wait and see

As mentioned above I've seen little, apart from highlights this season. On Daeon Amituanai the stats shown that he's made a total of 131 kick return metres across his 7 games. 65 of these metres occurred in one game so in the other 6 he's averaged just 11m. Is he the type of guy who opposition would deliberately avoid kicking to or is it a bit of an outlier?
