Was titanica juggling chairs due to our injuries kept it interesting.

Another hard fought game.
At least we're grinding the win but the lack of points in the second half needs work,
Clarke, Barnett, klockstad, all played solidly tonight.
Dragons had us figured out in the second half and started to expose Dallin and Metcalfs defensive frailtiies even the commentary was like Dallin does love to jam!.
He really does Need to sort out his shit hopefully he comes right in a few more games.
Still what a solid start to the season with plenty to work on great depth with Rts and Jfh back next week up the wahs.

It certainly wasn't pretty on the edge of your seat stuff, but clear 2nd on the ladder is impressive with the outs we have had.
The injection of youth and blend of hard core professionals is getting us over the line.
Dominic Young would be a great addition.

Not many teams are stopping.the opposition in the 2nd half once they have a roll on and their tails are up. This is a momentum game. The last two weeks in particular we’ve won the last 20 minutes after being beaten up after halftime.

Raiders today couldn’t do that. Several other teams couldn’t this weekend. We have and are.

That’s the most promising thing. We still have levels to go to. But we have so much grit we just won’t be beaten.

That’s how premierships are won.

Was shouting at the TV to take the FG that set, and thank f* they did.

In the context of the game, Drags attack wasn't flash. The game still had 10mins left, so the teams not going to kick off short. Admittedly if you miss it's a 7 tackle set, but you have no kick pressure with that long left on the clock so taking the nice cheeky dab early feels like a good idea.

No idea why we are playing this shooter wing defensive structure. The numbers are usually fine, just push and slide FFS. It's painful to watch, and downright stressful for my heart.

Last year we kept losing really close games, this year we are winning the really close games.

This shit is stressful, but Cs make degrees baby. When we win the grand final by 1 point in a nail biter my heart will explode but it still counts.

8-2 is strange but true.

We are no fluke.

We are no shoe in for a premiership.

But signs of improvement are there. A better balance of youth and experience is showing. A resilience under pressure is showing.

A growth in Metcalf is showing. Very near exponentially.

We have deficiencies galore but those things being our work ons are the things that will keep us grounded.

A fast and in form Dolphins next.

We are the kings of clutch. 2 pt victory against tigers. 2 pt victory against broncos. 4 pt victory against cowboys. 1 pt victory against dragons. 4 victories by a combined total of 9 pts. That's the difference between us at 2nd (16 pts) and the titans in 15th (8pts). Last year we lose all 4 games and we would be sitting in 13th behind the dolphins instead of 2nd.

Just winning our home games gives us 13 wins which probably gives us a top 8 spot. Other than the Raiders, who seem very beatable now, all other home games are against current bottom 8 teams. In 2023 we won 16 games in the regular seasons, so we probably need 3 more away wins to land top 4. We have 4 away games towards bottom 8 teams: Dolphins, Rabbits, Newcastle, Titans. So top 4, not just top 8 is now possible, though still not probable. Need a couple more wins to move that needle.

2 points, sitting outright second. This team beat the storm a few weeks ago, they’re a decent side & definite bogey match for us.

DWZ was rusty as fuckkk, but he’s earned that jersey & will be better for the run. With troops returning & players playing above expectations in his absence there’s pressure on his spot, but I know he’ll respond.

Capewell never statistically the best but man he’s all heart & im stoked he’s in our side.

This game. Hough! Wasn't pumped up like the usual, me... drags are mid bottom 8 and have everything to play for so I wasn't too sure how this one would pan out, tbh. Got the result though, 2pts by 1pt is relieving... yep that's Gold!

Capewell was, again, Monster! And Truly the slowest most bad'est beard'est mf'in center in the game, Love 'is effort/passion/work! Egan made some try saving tackles, I can't remember the last time he got injured (even though I could google it) ribs are NO joke and I hope he'll be ok for next week. Barnett lead the way like Captain America. He's a place in that NSW team for sure. Can't praise 'em enough for deciding to come over here, from a decent club, to better Our Club. Laban, Leka and Demi are in a great position/team and gaining the momentum from 'em. DWZ's first game back was ok for mine. Tough game back but as MFW posted "Dal wins it with a knock on." was so true and crack-up, hard! Dust the rust off, Dallin, and go at it like you can do. Pompey's our #4! Earlier I hoped for a #3 Ali and #4 Berry. Berry battles injury, Leiataua's learning left-side, Adam's mastered both!
