Anderson Cleary took us to Gf s

Can Webster do that?
Yes he can and that is not fanboi shit from me.

I have seen enough to know Webster can take us to the GF if the club stick with him, and not because I want that to be true, but because he has shown the qualities that allowed Cleary and Anderson to do it and even more.

And the thing is.....Cappy is building an inventory for Webster that will keep supplying him with star players for the next five years.

It is all there to see....the reason the NSW cup side are thrashing top four NSW sides by fifty points now is that our recruitment design is so well thought out that we end up having players of the quality of Te Maire Marting running the team.

That is the achievement of McFadden and Webster.

The Warriors have never had a local Kiwi half of the quality of TMM playing cup weekly...it is a symptom of a well built new model of how to win the comp.

Astonishing losses in Tohu/SJ/AFB with able but not equivalent replacements.

I would never question the Mana of the first two and the platform that AFB laid.

But really, I think the absence of this trio has contributed to the uptick in form.

- Tohu last year was past it
- SJ last year could barely get on the field
- AFB - toxic...

The truth is these guys leaving has made space for others.

Yes, so much of our success this year has been centred around energy. We looked pedestrian last year.

Youth with power
Battlers fighting their way through every game at full effort with calm, clear heads.
The exuberance of Metcalf
Squad cohesion and brotherhood in a club that has a clearly defined culture that players want to buy into.
On-field leadership that exhibits the above.

Mate that is bang on.
Although in saying that AFB still played amazingly.
I have said before that this is not a rebuild year.
Last year was.
This year Webby has mostly got his selections and bench use right.
I believe he thinks we can go all the way this year.
So much depth.
Every player at their best.

I'd take an unbeaten season at The Mount over a Top 4 finish. But after the start we've made, not over a Top 8...

Obviously if both Unbeaten Home Season and Top 4 Finish are on the Menu then I'm getting fat on that one. But if they're not, I can live with that if Mt Smart's become a place opposition fans go "Well, we can't count on winning in Auckland!"

We have 16 matches left, if we drop 7 of those we'll still comfortably make the 8, and tbh on current form i don't see us dropping many more than 5 additional ... that's top four pushing for top 2

Am I correct in assuming each team gets 3 Bye games? I'd say that would make 30pts about the minimum to make the 8. So we need at least 6 more wins, which you would think is totally doable.

Regardless, we should be going into the rest of the season wanting to not even drop a single game.
