I saw in some photos of CHT that his younger brother was beside him in his Broncos shirt. Calvin is in their development squad and is rumoured to be tyhe better of the two brothers - playing for the Kings 1st XV too.
Should the Warriors make a play for him or do we just go for Australian halves now?
I googled Martin Offiah and saw he has an 18 year old son playing rugby in England. Just being a recruiter hahaha

Surely if he is a very good prospect we should look at it. Being a kiwi makes it realistic that he will stay. Also we have a good pull to get him over to play with CHT. I don't know how good he is though, saw a highlight and he runs like CHT just hopefully he is faster.

I think it’s the best thing for young kiwi halves to go over to Australia develop their game management skills and if they don’t like it over in Aus they can always come back. CHT with the Broncos and Charlie Webb with the Roosters, Brent Webb’s son

Not sure how I feel.
Feel a bit for Taine, thought he would get a crack at the FB jersey.
I've got similar feelings too.

We are a side that needs speed, however CNK offers stability, leadership, passion and a utility factor too - he has played 1st grade at fullback, centre, wing and stand off. Perhaps even a move to the forwards one day? This move does widen our depth.

Hopefully the signing wasn't an expensive one. At least now he can spend time with his family.

re-signing an international fullback sounds pretty good to me! I also don’t think this means taine is gone either. I think cnk would’ve signed on unders to remain in Auckland & seeing the progression of the club. I think eventually he finds himself on the wing or in the centres, as it’s evident that taine is the future of our club.

I'm hopeful this is more of an insurance blanket for us.

Charnz is 30 this year in August, so will be 32 at the end of his contract, and last I checked there's not many 32 year old fullbacks running around the NRL atm.

We all saw how hard it was to pick up even a half decent outside back this year when we really needed it, this should help us not get to that level over the next few years.

I'm okay with the signing as long as it doesn't block any potential big signings

They seem to be pushing towards having a good top 20ish players rather than several million dollar players surrounded by minimum salary ones. Similar to how pompey keeps being extended even though he's not guaranteed to be first choice.

he adds a lot of value, but you wouldn't have CNK, Taine AND a marquee fullback on the books though.

have literally no idea where they are planning on spending all their cap, relatively old and expensive players like Niukore and RTS will be up soon as well. Give Leka a 10 year 8 million dollar contract?

Wait for the next AFB to personal reasons his way out of a team?
