Walker is a gun at playing Tohu’s position for 25-minute spells, semantics lol 🤷‍♂️

And ya I don’t get why we need Tofu for 20 minute a game off the bench when we have Ale and Afoa, seems more politics than actual gameplay, trying to wean him off till the season’s end and retire. And Ford’s Webby’s pet project not sure if he has the heart to put him to Cup as depth, Capewah’s still an Origin player and should be that workhorse 11 over Ford if you want to maximize his salary

Heck just typing that makes me feel there are a lot of politics going on BTS, no wonder it’s a roller coaster this year
Tohu came on shortly after Walker made an error. Walker went hard and was great but the error showed he was tiring so Tohu is put on to be a tacklebot and help hold the line in defence and try to keep our lead. He wasn't the only interchange at that point either. Someone made the effort to say they scored a try against us while he was on (no mention of any of the other interchanged players lol) but that try was not down the middle, were any? Walker was able to then come back refreshed as was AFB etc.
Tohu has been the 80min player for years and its good to see him be used more strategically.
On another post, saw something about slow ptb's. Not saying Tohu isn't slower (mostly due to injury imo) but a forward playing the ball slower is sometimes to reset defensive lines too. When the defence is being hammered those extra few seconds are sometimes deliberate, different if you're on attack and want a quick ball.
Sometimes wonder if we're all watching the same game sometimes but hei aha, each to their own opinion.
Loving the TMM and CHT combo, wonder sometimes if they could unlock their outside backs a little more and on defence out wide, are the edge forwards out there to give an extra man in the line so the wingers & centres can hold their opposites better? Need to have another look.
Re the age thing in our team, there's still quite a few older than ours playing in other teams and the changes in the rules has sped things up so younger players are key but an older head or two with nous & the top 2 ins still have a place.
Lots of improvement to go and hopefully it happens.
    Go the Warriors!

Father time and injuries don't explain the daft way he is playing.
TMM and CHT are not doing nothing special. They are just running shapes and putting one foot in front of another.
SJ is trying selfish hero bar plays where he tries to set up the try all by himself instead of using team work and getting the whole team involved like TMM and CHT do. When TMM and CHT run the cutter we attack the try line as a 13 man unit. When Shaun runs the cutter we attack the try line either with one out hit ups by forwards or Shaun doing a solo effort then him attempting to put a runner through a hole for a try. It is all about him.
What does that have to do with age? What does that have to injuries? It has nothing to do with any of those things.
Shaun is 33 while DCE is 35
Shaun is not too old to be a half.
He just seems to have completely lost the plot of how to be half in the NRL.
One final point is that he stands quite shallow at first receiver and the rush defence often shuts him down.
Both TMM and CHT stand very deep and have time to operate.
What does standing deep or shallow have to do with age or injuries. They have nothing to do with it.
Dce is very durable- hardly missed a game- Sj has had probably the two worst injuries a running half could have- his leg snapped in half and a torn Achilles- they’re both injuries that have ended players careers.
It’s a testament to him that he’s managed to stay on top this long really- very few have.

TMM was shit at 6 and everyone could see that.
    Been a revelation at 7 which I applaud 👏
TMM has always been a good fg player but wasn't able to find that form until moving to 7.
TMM is the man. But, Needs to sort out his left to right pass or our one weapn on the wing will see no ball.
I just don't understand what has happened to Shaun. and that is not a call for everyone to make posts pointing out he is getting old etc as I have read all your posts, but none of it adds up.
He's only a year older than his incredible form of last year. It's not age. Lacks the pace of SJ of old. But he became the leader & playmaker we've been looking for.

Playing with multiple injuires & not giving them time to heal is his main problem. Brain is wanting to achieve many things, But his body is telling him to get f*cked.

I hope he can get back to full fitness, And be ready to replace one of our halves if injuries occur. I don't want it to end like this for SJ. He is my personal greatest Warrior of all time. An athlete like I've never seen before. His youtube highlight reel is one of the most watched clips on YouTube (Rugby & League)

But if it's his time to hang up the boots. I hope we all appreciate how important he was to the club. And the smiles he brought to us fans.

Is this someone's (two day old) secondary account?
Nope sole account on here and I have single account on FR and one on the cowboys forum which is the second team I support. I am pretty sure admins can see ips and post otherwise if you still have doubts. Joined the Warriors forum to show some support for Sj after reading some pretty horrible attacks on FR. I am not saying SJ should be back into 7 when fit but it sickens me the attacks made on him after years of enjoying watching him play.

I've heard something along the lines that SJ's injury isn't as bad as they are letting on and that he's not coming back.

I like the source it's coming from and have no reason to believe it's not true.

Also Tohu will be faded out.

I bet the injury to SJ will be the reason spun to us as to why he won't play again.

    I hope you're wrong.
If true its a weak cop out by the club.
He doesnt deserve to go out this way. Not to have his last game a 6-66 hiding.

What he deserves is a final farewell at MSS, so fans can show their appreciation to him and all he has given to the club.

I don’t think we should be questioning the hunger of guys like SJ and Tohu. They want to win a prem for this club more than anyone else on the planet.

It’s just that both have been battling chronic injuries that have impacted their training and performance all year. At that age, being on limited training takes an edge off your game, and playing through pain is unsettling. We saw what these guys could do when fully fit last year; this year they just haven’t been fully fit.

If they didn’t have the hunger they would likely have pulled up stumps by now, or taken extended rehab periods rather than fighting on.

At the game last night and feel they’ve been harshly judged on the W. Yes it wasn’t an A+ level game and the Broncs would be a different proposition with Haas and Walsh but you can only play what is in front of you, which they did and did well.

Hypothesisin here but say if it was 38-10 or the like would some posters be higher on them for ‘putting them away’? Tbh at the ground it felt like we were on top throughout and Broncs stood little chance of getting over the top of us.

There a couple of decisions and lapses that gave the Broncos some momentum back which likely flattered them. Lastly it was a very greasy night so ball control was on par with the conditions I thought.

To put the 66-6 result behind us with a win over last years GFers (yeah yeah I know who they had out), is a fantastic result.

Broncos in a bit of a slump too but begs the question for me just how we go from not being able to defend at all to only conceding 16 points this week? People will say speed but there’s some speedsters in the broncos too like the titans last week. The wet conditions would have somewhat eradicated that to a degree but there feels like there’s more to the dynamics of this team than meets the eye
Barnett makes a big difference in our defense. Remember hearing Tohu saying how Barnett prides himself on his defense and defensive line speed.
