What are everyone's thoughts on Adam Doueihi?
I really rate him, plays a host of positions really well.
Looks to have only been offered 350k by the Tigers and $500k by the Dragons. Surely we'd be a better option than those.
He's only just turned 27, so has loads of time left, and is still quite experienced. Goal kicks too.

He'd essentially be replacing TMM as the utility role, only imo he's good enough to be playing most of those roles - centre, half, lock - in your top 13.
Given the injury prone-ness of our centres and wingers this year he would certainly strengthen our stocks there, and gives us a little bit of a safety net in the halves, as after Metcalf, CHT and Tanah we have 2 young, untested players. 2 quick injuries in the halves and we are incredibly light next year

Interesting timing seeing Bailey Simmonson has asked for a release from eels. Many on their forum talking about titans, but noticed one poster say he wants a move and has either been offered better money, or wants to go back to NZ. Would be a handy signing, few injuries in recent times so would fit in well

Article saying Egan shoulder injury out indefinitely l. Good chance for Healey to progress.

Webby saying fish a chance to play, so seems 50/50 or maybe a lasg minute inclusions
There are many areas Fish helps us. If we are lucky enough to have him this weekend. His biggest is middle third defence. People who jump to conclusions wrote him off in the chat on this web site as his metres per game in carries is low. When he plays we are able to defend 2 point leads with 5 minutes to play.
The second area he helps in leadership. He probably isn't as good as Barnett was at talking to the ref, but Fish leads and he is our leader. When he leads the men on to the battlefield they fell ten foot tall running out behind their captain.

He is also, least it be a point lost, the current captain of the Kiwis. A leader of leaders if you will.

Our fan base is too happy with mediocrity. We’re all sweet with sliding down the ladder because no one expected us to be in the 8 even. But we’re here in top 4, let’s aim high, take risks. yes we have injuries but webby needs to adapt, we ain’t doing shit with his conservative, no thrills play style and his team selections
As warriors fans mate, we have had to accept a standard that is well below mediocrity for years, so when a coach comes in and he had us in the top 4 for multiple rounds and a season let's try to keep to pitchforks off his back.
He's a young coach and hes gonna make mistakes but fuck hes better than Brown&Kearney put together.

Would love to hear any arguments to keep Ford in the team. His discipline is disgusting.
    Okay, I accept the challenge:

IMO Ford and Clarke were the engine room throughout last night's game. The man has a V8 motor. If he is not there, a lot of work simply doesn't get done and the 'Phins roll over the top. He knew he was representing Barney and JFH last night and did not shirk the work.
    • During his 68 minutes on the park, Ford made 121 running metres from 17 runs, the 5th highest in the team. (Clarke 166, 18 runs). 1x line break. The other three were our back three though Clarke ran a few more than DWZ.
    • He made 46 tackles, a team high (Clark 36). Leka next best, made 40. For the 'Phins only Donoghoe made more - 52. Niukore made 22 as a comparison.
    • Across the 2025 NRL season, Ford is ranked 8th most penalties conceded - just below Carrigan and above Tapine.
    • His work isn't pretty, and sometimes there is a kind of unco-clumsiness that gives a penalty away but he is continually improving on that. His current average is 0.72 penalties per game.
    • With Barney and Fish out of the picture, the team absolutely needs his relentless effort. The upside is way above any liability that comes with him.
    Does that help..?

Well I've never had so much fun reading all the comments after this game.Thats what I like the passion that league fans have for their team and each other kill or be killed. My own view last night was the biggest disappointment I had was how we played out the last few minutes considering how much work we had put into it injuries, ref calls etc. There were some totally insane stupid dumb brain explosions but I enjoyed the 80 min ride.Freshen up fans and look forward to the fun nxt week now back to my meds

Think we’ve seen we need another quality half, don’t expect TMM to stay after this year and boyd isn’t up to FG at this point. Need to get metcalf to stay maybe try cleary or another good 7

Pretty harsh on Boyd imo. 4 games. 3 try assists, 4 forced drop outs, decent long kicking game and 14 goals at 82%. I'm willing to bet that of the 32 halves playing NRL this weekend there will be at least half of them who have worse stats than that.

4th game in the first grade this year, still gelling with his team mates, and on top of this we're missing 7 of our front line players....

Tanah hasn't been the reason we've been losing these games

Must admit I’m a TMM fanboy but think it’s mad to let him go after what he’s shown he can offer in so many areas this year and don’t see anyone else in the squad that can offer so much versatility, perhaps they expect that of Gannon but still being young, I don’t see him offering that for years to come. Watching and listening to TMM last night, I believe he’s in his peak years and is seeing the game through his experienced lens. There was a particular chip on the run to the corner last night that I think HTF batted dead that was such a beautiful weight and I thought his comments after the game about sometimes you learn more from a loss were apt and feel like it was similar to that storm game we let slip last year that we just buttoned off a bit right at the end. We also were a player down too in the defensive line that unfortunately is just one of those things

Play should have stopped on this tackle, but nah have another tackle advantage, dont worry about the players, Ref should be stood down for this IMO

But lets just play over him, dont worry about how he is

Then hey just leave him on the ground, might be dead ? Who cares right, play over an injured player, fucking disgrace.

Would this have changed the out come of the game if that player was in the defensive line, i would say absolutely.

Is it an excuse to loose, no its not.

But seriously that is some fucked up shit.

Can someone explain how Egan is better for us than Healey. Besides Marker deception, Healey beats him in every other aspect of the game
Egan's craft, passing, and game awareness is top teir. He can pretty much run the whole attack up field without the need for half's and get you to the exact spots on the field you want to be.

Healey is a good young player, but at this stage they aren't close.
