Season prediction: we start with an hiss and a roar and are a solid top 8 team to start the year. Egan and CNK look like world beaters but by origin both are fatigued through overuse and fall off a cliff. Metcalf comes back and combinations have to rebuild as we struggle to hold onto 8th spot.

Several key injuries mean opportunity for lots of juniors. We spend the back half of the season fighting to hold onto eighth spot as fatigue and injuries pile up but our squad depth pulls us into the finals in 8th spot.

TSS is our breakout player of the year in a forward pack that keeps us in most games. Laban comes of age as a first choice player by year end.

Several senior players aren’t resigning signaling a changing of the guard for 2027. We scape into the finals and get more finals experience into the youngsters before our window really opens up in 2027/28.

I like how we are allowed to offload in the trial game. TT looks good with Ali outside him again. Dallin looks way better than last year and still is a gun finisher. Laban looks a permanent 12 and the Marata and CHT should return via cup instead of throwing rust in R1, maybe Roger can be an exception due to depth issues. When’s Barney playing again?

CNK looks good again maybe he’s told to distribute this season? Wouldn’t mind him at centre for TT/CNK/Dallin but CNK/Ali/Dallin could be very good if CNK keeps passing

And I thought it was a good showing the last 20min when Katoa came off for them it’s just a random NSW game like last week

CNK has stopped some certain tries for us too, one last night was a beaut and I doubt that TT could've made it..

Hey, lets take our blue chip prospect who's on track to be our most important player within 2 years and move him to a position that; a) he's less comfortable in, and b) is a less important position overall where he will receive less touches and involvement

He played there last game because we had no one else

I don't mind people throwing outside the box ideas around, but to suggest that other people are being unrealistic in the same post is a bit whack

Leka has now started the final V Penrith, the preseason game, and 1 of 3 rounds this year. 3 out of the last 5 games. Looks like my grasp of what is realistic may not have been as far off as you suggested...
