I’ll go Sam Rapira. Just played so consistently well and was always giving 100% no matter the circumstances. In 2008 he made a couple of average halves look very good with his work. Was very good in 2011 as well

SJ , So many highlights & clutch games. Never seen a wah junior like him.
Then Ali because he was a Freak!
Manu, Despite all the off feild shit. I loved seeing the big fulla put his body on the line and smash people. Could haul ass for a big boy.
Addin, Best prop we've ever had in my opinion. What a beast.

Have several as fovourites as its sort of evolved as the club evolved.
Started off with Stacey (how couldnt it be?) but had a thing for wrecking ball props who could just cause carnage so Joe Vagana and Feka Paleassina were compulsory viewing for me. Simon Mannering for the way he worked his ass off and the consistency he showed throughout his career. Loved watching Sonny Fai and was so excited to see his career unfold but alas the flame burned too short. Then finally SJ who i'd seen come through the Touch scene. Always had a hard on for sheer speed and pre injury he was fucking electric (without doubt the fastest halfback ive seen play the game).....development was probably hindered because our club was a basket case at times but it was great to see him finally evolve into a tactician......not sure who's going to jump out at me next but Halasima sure went the right way about it this season.
But if you were going to put a gun to my head and say "pick one"......it'd be SJ.

In the early days I loved our back rowers like Tony Tuimavave, Stephen Kearney, Tony Tatapu.
Jerome Ropati was class when the body let him. Sammy Rapira a Hukanui OG under-sized but tough as hell
SJ and Knobby were so exciting.
But Tohu 2018-2023 is my favorite Warrior. Those Covid years he was so professional in a clunker of a team.

Fuck I loved watching that! Thank you for posting. I notice watching it now that he often leads with his head. I imagine in the current game he could be even more effective than he was given the protection afforded the noggin in today's game. Duty of care on the defender not to strike the head etc.
My favourite Warrior of all time is Shaun Magic Johnson.
I remember seeing him at under 20's (I think) when he was still rocking the headgear, and he was electric, almost like watching the feeling of lightning strike.
I think he was better than Andrew Johns, before his injury at least. His stepping and running game was amongst the best I have ever seen. After the injury he re-invented himself as a general, directing the troops, laying on tries and developed a top rate kicking game.
He also had such a fairy-tale like career. Golden Boot, ending his career with the famous win at Cronulla, etc.
If he had won the premiership in 2011 (I am still filthy about that game, Watmough playing the ball facing the wrong way, George Rose not being sent off for elbowing Aaron Herimia in the head whilst he was on the ground forcing our hooker out of the match, imagine that today) and the Daly M (which we all think he was robbed of) he would probably be a good contender for the first Kiwi Immortal along with Stacy and Mark Graham.

I re-watched both our grand finals last off season and I reckon u could make a strong case that the better team lost in 2011.
The bounce of the ball and some shitty calls really cost us that day.
Sj had a terrific game- arguably best on field.
Has to be SJ, followed by Ruben Wiki for me. I loved Wikis aggression, but SJ will always be my favourite Warrior

When I was a youngster I loved wingers. My first ever favourite Warrior was Henry Fa'afili, the post try celebrations are what got me. Over the years that evolved to Francis Meli and Manu Vatuvei.
I've accepted that I wont see us win a premiership in my lifetime lol.

As mentioned my favourite warrior is Kane Evans. He stood up for us when people were kicking sand in our face. And the backbone and ticker we showed in that final game of the season Vs Titans which we lost 40-10 was amazing. Forget what the scoreboard said we won that match in the eyes of the viewers. The heart and spirit we took out of that season set of the Wahs on much better seasons that followed.
