In previous years we had it that you were allowed three votes to distribute to who you choose. The winner being the person with the most votes. This year I want to try four votes to allow a few more teams to get recognition for the hard work they put in.

If it was possible id like to see a points system awarded. If you can vote four times then your top team you vote for gets 4 points down to 1 point for your forth voted team. That puts more weight to your votes and more distinction than 4 teams getting a single vote each.

Yes, there has been massive randomness and adversity in the game. Hodges gave everyone free cash and I got nothing and $650k in penalties…

And I still got Toopi and Chriton.

In hindsight i should have given you some cash but you were just being too annoying so it was hard to then say you win some cash for it. Maybe publicly posted interactions with Hodges Agency should have been noted as potential to have positive or negative impacts.

All the other stuff was randomly generated, the only manual intervention i did was reward money for the intervention challenges because frankly people did deserve it.

Interesting idea. We wouldn't be able to use a poll then that automatically counts the vote. It would just need to be a straight thread with voting posts in it if that makes sense. Good suggestion. Let me stew on this as I am concerned with 4 votes the top two sides are going to end up tied. But I don't like the point scoring system 4 points for 1st is a lot of points !!!

And with the variations in voting someone might think it's Mr B, Defence, Wrighty, Wiz in that order and someone else might think it's Wrighty, Defence, Wiz, Mr B If these were the only two voters then in one scenario everyone gets two points in the other Defense wins with 6 points. Just a thought.

I have done my kids teams football player of the season award votes like this where they can't vote for themselves and the pick their three players nominated in order.

I agree with the concept just not with the detail.
We could do two points for positions 1 and 2 and one point for positions three and four.

The issue I have with 4 points for first is you only need a few people to name you as first and you win. And you could defeat someone who was more consistently named in the top 4.

There are only 9 teams, possibly 8.

Its just above pass mark to get a point by being named as the 4th best team (and gaining a point). At the end of the day, the winner should be the one that people think was the best team, and not just above the pass threshold. It would be a shame if the winner of the comp was one where everyone thought was in the top 4, but noone thought was the best team, hence the weighting is actually a good idea. A normal poll of 4 votes doesnt differentiate between any of the votes and awards them equally.

Haven’t read through the thread but had some DMs come through so thought it was easier to just post here rather than reply separately.
I did think it was all a bit average but I haven’t been sulking- I started back at work yesterday and walked straight into a shit fight as u do so I had just checked out and moved on I guess.
No hard feelings @Wrighty I appreciate the apology and I’m not one to hold grudges- it’s all water off a ducks back to me.
Hope it didn’t put too much of a downer on it for everyone and good luck to u all in the voting

You're still a good chance to get the just need to shift Fittler into Lock to accommodate Herbie
