Social Wrighty's Player Agent Game Rules posted

NZWarriors.com

It is a rainy day here in Wellington. I have started to prepare my spreadsheet. Whoever gets Andrew Johns is in the box seat. We may see a bidding record broken for him.

List of potential letter pairings. The round master would choose one of the options listed and that option can only be picked once.
i) B
ii) M
iii) T
iv) C
v) F
vi) H & W
vii) S
viii) G&E
ix) L&K
x) P&I
xi) J & R
xii) A & N & O & D & Y & U & V

I have added W to H as was missing W

Haha, unlikely… but maybe…
Not all Hodges agency signings may be detrimental. Who knows...some of my top 50 players may like to play together in same team, or buying more players from my agency may provide some discounts, or i may be able to offset some bids by providing some salary cap relief via third party so the salary cap hit will be lower etc.

Anyway upto each team to play roulette and find out :)

It will be a mix of events. Some negative. Some negligible (neutral). Some positive.

I think I’ve asked this before however will it all be randomised?

To a certain extent.

If you had signed matty johns and now wanting andrew johns ie brothers, it could be viewed as a larger impact ie positive - they are brothers, or negative - hate each other - non speaking terms. Similarly, your existing squad will be taken into account, ie you have Ricky Stuart, and bidding on Daley. Does Daley prefer to play with Stuart again or not? Existing squad members will certainly have an impact. Random ones will also be thrown into the mix.

If only Daley & Stuart were available 😢

Yeah the top 50 list is weird. Both played in that era and anyone who has watched them know they are amongst top 50 till now.

Upto @Wrighty but i am happy to include any elite player who played from 1998 till now as part pf Hodges agency provided they are currently not in the 2025 list. Obviously means that participants must do their research and that they are considered better than the bottom of the top 50 list provided ie Brent Tate etc

I will say yes to this on one very big condition. I don't want this particular game to be research oriented as there is too much going on with the Hodges agency and having a limited talent pool to pick from. Therefore so there are no gotcha moments in the game, even though those would reward good research, my ruling is that you need to suggest and propose any players you think are missing from that list (who played from 1998 until now and who are better than Brent Tate) prior to Dec 1st 2025 and it must be approved by Wrighty and Tajhay and then I will add it to the Top 50 on the first page so all can plan on going after that person as well.
That Dec 1st condition is important and non negotiable.

I also will lean against approving star players at the fag end of their career in 1998 eg Langer

And so it begins…

Where does ian roberts stand?
I say out as his last year was 1998. And he last played for Australia 1994.
Alfie Langer out I understand he was puttering out around 1998
Laurie Daley played for Australia in 1999 so you would have to think he would be in
I am going to rule against Ricky Stuart I doubt he did much for Canterbury in 1999 or 2000

I think it might be fun to debate the pros & cons of different players? As an example Langer had some epic performances post 1998.
