Sounds sensible

The rule is designed to stop people using one of their 5 non voting picks to draft a poor player just so they can get $400K refund.

However the rule looks cumbersome to administrate and remember for everyone.

How important is it to have this rule in your view> It is only a nice to have or is it a should have?

Hi I am introducing a new rule

I think this will get a nod from Mr B. It is based on the spirit that the black sheep rule is intended for good players only you bidded on.

The black sheep pick will cost you $0 but in order to qualify for the $400K refund you need to declare in the thread that you intend to play them in your voting 17. If things change later and you get a better player and you change your mind you need to forfeit your $400K refund AND pay a penalty of $100K.

Where I face an issue is towards the end of the game. So there will need to be a rule you can't replace that Black Sheep pick with one of your final pick(s). This means either a Round 22 or Round 23 pick or your 21st or 22nd player in your squad.

Thoughts or comments or will pass that rule.

OK let's go with this. It was going to be quite cumbersome for me to Police.
Also the fact we have landed on 22 players means each of your 22 picks is not to be wasted. If you really want to waste a bid on Phoenix Crossland then that could bite you in the ass in other ways. So yes I appreciate your post Greatly Inruin. Let;s not have that rule. At least we discussed it.

There is no question in my mind we are going to get wiped out by AI just like all the Science Fiction movies predicted.
I asked ChatGPT to give me ten more tips on how to win this game and it gave excellent advice. Quite scary. When they invent AI robots to do your housework I am not going to let one into my house. I am 52 I am not going to fully embrace AI in my lifetime even though everyone else will as I am fearful of it turning on me.

Theres clearly opportunities to exploit the rules to your advantage - everyone has that opportunity so all good.

I agree. I have tried to ameliorate excessive exploitation. But hopefully some moderate exploitation will make for a very cunning game. I predict we will get a few popcorn eating followers of our thread as while hopefully there won't be any drama it will be like a daily soap opera with its surprise twists.
Your post makes me feel pleased that people are starting to analyse and see the loopholes and points of leverage.
This by no means will be game dependent on luck.

No in that case you stop bidding when your squad is equal to 22.

You ideally need a minimum of 17
