And then everyone watching will be counting the minutes till the inevitable game/season-ending injury... again. At least the extra reserves on the bench can get around that easier this year.

I guarantee you behind closed doors Webby will be meticulously analysing each player and figuring out how best to address their issues and weighing up the pros and cons…

Don't disagree at all. The mini Boyd run is reminding me of TMM at 7 where we put wins together and everyone was willing to keep SJ out. Yes different players etc but a similar situation. We eventually saw what happened in the longer term. I am expecting the same.

TMM did play well in that run and people were getting excited. But TMMs performances were not like what Boyd has been producing, it is only a mini run atm but has been genuine complete performances with kicking, running, passing and organising all firing.

TMM was always good when he was at 7, just people couldn't kick goals or catch to score clutch tries for him.

Boyd is doing the same plus he has a 50m drop out, torpedo bombs, Burton-esque range clearance kicks, 40/20 and organized plays that result in tries.....and he's played 12 games in a row (touchwood) without breaking down.

Does anyone think that maybe the Boyd 7 and Metcalf 6 at this stage is a temporary thing. Kind of like a perfect way to Luke to ease in but also get a few more games of data from Boyd before making a long term plan? I am thinking after the Storm game we should know what we want in the future.

I don't think it is necessarily temporary. If Tanwah keeps excelling and Luka adds strike with his running game from six and, and this is the big and, we keep winning games with these two in tandem then why not go all the way to the GF win?

I have some sympathy with this view but we've been performing in a sufficiently different manner from round 1 (targeting the ruck, more short interchange passing, and offloads etc.) and have the personnel performing in those areas at a level which means there's just more space for our halves whoever they are for me to think what we're seeing isn't a blip

Looks like he bulked up his legs in a possible bid to strengthen his previous weakness of ankle injuries.

Might have gone too far. He looks massive and like a prop/back rower.

But I'm not hating on him until we lose multiple games because of him.
