Team List Wests Tigers v NZ Warriors - [Round 4, 2026]

Great seeing Metcalf back. Good to have the him and Barnett back.

It is tough on CHT. He's been good at 6 compared to when he had to manage the game at 7. He has complimented whoever he has partnered in the halves well. He can be useful off the bench and cover a few positions and you know the effort he'll put in. There was a game a year or two back where he started on the bench and I think TMM went down injured. Seeing CHT on the bench getting ready was reassuring.

Metcalf is the guy they have put their faith in long term so they were always going to try and fit him in somewhere.

Yes, last year we were winning and Metcalf was leading/high in the Dally Ms (the journos have told us enough times 😆). But our attack wasn't convincing. That may have been a wider issue not just a half issue, as there looks to be a bit more changes this year to how they are playing. One thing Metcalf was great at was being around the ball, support play. Having Boyd continue at 7 organising the side could let Metcalf start with a simplified role running the ball and concentrating on support play.

The start we have had to the season Boyd deserves to stay in the side. If we had a patchy start to the season he'd be aware the plan was to for Metcalf to come in. But, how long have we been saying we want competition for spots or guys being given an opportunity and taking it. Here is a great example of someone doing that and it being rewarded.

I'll say all that and then they'll make changes later in the week or an hour before kick off.😆

All these NRL Footy shows and youtube channels waxing lyrical about the unbeaten panthers and no one will beat them. No mention of the table topping Wahs ? Fucking bias cunts.

round 1 - They beat a out of sorts Broncos 0 - 26. We beat the Roosters 42 - 18.

Round 2 - The beat a mud Sharks side 26 - 6
We beat a dangerous Raiders side 40 - 6.

Round 3 they defeated the Roosters 40 - 4.
We defeated the previously undefeated Knights(Yes , without there 2 biggest stars) on their home ground 38 - 12.

This week's lineup has the ability to take the Riff. Put some respect on our name!! Can't wait to play the panthers and shut these hating ass Aussies mouths up!!

Not saying we're going to score 50.
But I read this week that we have the 2nd longest streak for scoring 50 on a team.
Bulldogs are the longest haven't done it since 2010

Even if we have a world beating season, their attitude towards us won't change. We just have to accept that and block out the noise. Even when we were minor premiers in 2002, we were rank outsiders in the prelim final against Cronulla who were ranked lower than us throughout the whole year.

Geepers man imagine that forward pack when Gannon is ready to play some ball.

Looks like Tanner gets rotated in and Marata gets a rest. Good policy, both are good, both you want in the extended mix without missing too many games to maintain condition.

Gannon has to earn the right to be part of the forward rotation. He's barely played one cup game before the concussion.
