Pick Your Team Warriors v Cowboys - [Round 9, 2025]

I can just see Leka running at Dearden all night and Chanel dropping Clifford with a spot tackle. As long as we keep their halves quiet with our power game, their backs aren't good enough to keep them in the grind. Frontload them with defence and they won't be able to go with us till the end the way they could against the Titans.
Was that sin bin that killed titans. They were up 18-12 at halftime. Cowboys blew them away while they were a man down

what about the ex-wah Vailea. His defense looks super suspect.

SJ’s pre game commentary was quite telling he was saying the main video reviews they do is the kick and chase and it’s like sacred and we know who always get there first lol

He was glowing about Ford as well in that aspect

That’s why I think Webby might have PTSD dropping Pompey when he did nothing wrong or even been so good lately, and Berry aces his boring subjects, and Ali’s off with doing the little things like missing a tackle leading to a long range try and hen bombing a gimme later. I prefer Pompey left Ali right but I can’t see Webby dropping Berry back. Anyway that’s for next week, unless Dallin returns and Taine is still in the team

Your goneburger as Titans fell off tackles
This is the real test for Wahs especially for halves

Id be looking to hit that right side channel between Vailea and Clifford all night. I know Capewell's our left edge backrower but id consider swapping Leka over there just for this one. Couple of early runs just to compress that edge would then open up for that backdoor sweep as Vailea doesnt read well or move laterally well.

Looking forward to Wade vs Robson. Battle for the NSW origin spot imo. This personal battle will probably determine the outcome. If we get on the front foot and Wayde is able to manipulate the ruck in our direction, we're going to find a lot of joy through the middle where they have conceded about half their tries. Conversely, we can't let the cows win the ruck or Robson will tear us apart.

Never thought about that, how cool battle for nsw hooker spot, I'm sure Webster will get Egan up for it too.

According to the Sydney media, Wade was less favored under Madge because he wanted a bigger 9 and was worried by Wade's history of head knocks. From all accords,Daley is looking for more finesse, which plays directly into Wade's hands. Would be cool if we have a starting prop and hooker in the NSW origin side. Don't think we've ever had players break into origin sides before Webby. Those who previously played origin were incumbents (Ryan Hoffman for NSW, Steve Price, Lillyman and Tate for Old).

Yeah hard a real testament to Websters player development as youngsters and old heads all seem to improve under his watch.
I heard Sj with our commentators pre Knights game he would call Egan sinky (aka sinkhole), as he gets to the line then he just disappears praised him hard except his latest round of golf.

And don’t have the same reservations about not having him for that period. Upside would be that he comes back an even better player full of confidence, and Healey looking capable of filling the void. Downside would be the potential of picking up an injury, and that would probably be it in my view? But he could pick up an injury anytime in clubland and would be a goal to make origin surely

DWZ and RTS will come straight back in. There's no way they play cup.
DWZ for sure will. He hasn’t played! Needs a run in cup to shake out the cobwebs as did Rocco Berry. RTS will likely come straight back in assuming he has confidence in the hammy. 50 min in Cup will help him.

We have the depth - use it. No point putting underdone troops in when we have worthy players in those spots right now. Let them earn it.

this. i would be shocked if DWZ was thrown straight back into a winning side having not played a single game this season. RTS a different story, he will go straight back in

I think PJ Marsh broke into Origin playing for us in 2002.

Yep, and if we keep winning till they comeback why mess with the formula?

Egan not missing any time has been huge for us this year. The likes of the Panthers and Storm have looked awful at times without their usual 80 min hookers.

It will be interesting how we plan to rest Egan going forward. I think a Dragons style bench would suit us. They have Dylan Egan doing a short stint on the edge then moving to the middle with Leilua coming on to the edge.

If Marata could do say 32-33 mins on the edge then do 7-8 mins in the middle either side of halftime, that would be ideal, with Leka playing the Leilua role. Not sure Marata has the motor for it though? Which is frustrating for a guy of his age/size/experience and rumoured salary.

Biggest change for Egan is his tackling. Now getting his melon behind the player
