General Warriors Preseason 2026

To be fair there’s been no best pre season dialogue, Webster just said it was the first time all players returned meeting targets that they’d set. While it’s encouraging, it really only emphasises the buy in from the players
Agree.. adding to that ... it allows the whole team to move into more and more ball play... probably a lot sooner than expected... but soon see, today should give us a better picture...

How is Pompey for many on here one of their first backs picked in their team, but then can’t even make the Māori side over Hiroti.
Jesse Arthurs 20th man and some keen on him too. I know you’re all in on Kali but give him a chance to stay on the field and see if they extend him past this season before getting too hyped

I wonder if Hanson is a smokie for rd 1. Certainly been around the block and been burning reserve grade teams for years now. If CHT isn't fully ready by rd 1, I'd personally like him to be given a shot. Having played with TB in Reggies, they'll work well together I'm sure.

You're right in that they are a fantastic combo, in NSW Cup, but Hanson didn't kick the ball once in the State Champs & just once in the NSW Cup GF. Unless Hanson has become a less reluctant kicker, then Boyd would be afforded no time to kick in the NRL. It'll be something to watch out for today

from what I saw in Reggies last year, he's a great ball runner. We don't really have that in our halves without Mets on the field. Letting TB do all the kicking and passing and Hanson just running the ball seemed to work out well in cup. Obviously less time and space in NRL but I can see it working for a few weeks at least, especially in games where we dominate the ruck.

Further to my point about Hiroti being the incumbent, Casey McLean is starting on Pompey's preferred side. Pompey has featured on the right maybe a dozen times over the last 3 years but defensively he was exposed in his last game there with Matt Feagai making 3 Linebreaks in the first 20 minutes & Pompey finishing the game with a 79% tackle success

So Inch looked really good, like a FB…

Gannon looks like Capewell’s son

Has Ali done enough? Leka at centre lol….

Don’t need to worry about Healey leaving when Taufua looked awesome, and his passing is normal lol

And Mellars look great, clearly bothering the other jumpers and makes good metres, probably will be dynamic with AKP as starting wingers next year
