I see what yr saying... but sometimes players need to be in the right place before they shine... a good example is Erin Clark an outcast from the Titans ... look at him now... Hansen to me is someone who can do some serious damage to the opposition not at cup level but higher... I maybe wrong but being with Webby and the 1st grade coaches then a shot at 1st grade in preseason could be what unlocks him...

Erin Clark was a first grade regular at the Titans, averaging over 100m a game and made the Kiwis squad before coming over. There was enough evidence to suggest he would be successful.
I hope Hansen can show something and has improved greatly with training over the off season. More depth would’ve a bonus, but I would say he is a long way off the likes of TMM and CHT

None of that. We in charge of our own destiny and expect seasoned veterans like Capewell and JFH who have done it know what’s required and demanding it. Winning 4 with different clubs, and our first would put Capewell in illustrious company and not knowing what’s beyond this year would see him primed. Hoping for the best anyway

I am cautiously optimistic having had heartbreak like all of us. Could easily end in tears, after round 1 last year I was thinking a shit season was ahead so need to give them a game or two to settle in before writing them off. If we get 50 put on us in round 1, we’re fucked as you you can’t win the comp conceding 50 so the saying goes

Capewell hasn't won with 3 teams.
He's won once on Grand Final day & if you attribute him with a Premiership at the Sharks then Albert Vete & Cooper Johns have also won Premierships.
Best pre-season ever dialogue makes me feel cynical. Wish the PR team hadn't gone down that line.
