General Warriors Preseason 2026

Putoko, Pasikala and Lemana I think the only young outsides still there.

What an experience for Lemana still there this late into preseason at 17.

Where's Sio Kali at? I haven't seen much, if anything of him this preseason.

I notice in everyone’s predicted 17 there is know mention of Jacob Laban. He
Is my pick for a standout this year , alongside Demitric.
He was going great guns before his injury. Forgotten man by all the media.

Did I see a brief clip in a pre season reel of him wearing a 10 on his back?.. might suggest further amalgamation of our forward rotation playing hybrid roles. … ( I still prefer him as an edge player )

Depending on how AKP goes in preseason and trials. I would like to see him lock in a wing position and allow RTS to go to fullback. Gives us some real strike power. Hopefully he turns out to be a good fit. Still have my doubts given his time at the Tits

Imagine AKP could tackle ….. and move him to fullback!

Reckon our young guys will go to another level this year

We need them to. Consistency year after year is what we need.

The young guys continuing to improve means we can move on some of the veterans, as we aren't reliant on them.

Also, consistency year after year likely means more final experiences, which then improves our chances of a premiership.

A few teams typically drop out of the 8 every year. We need to make sure that doesn't happen to us.

Sorry if it's been asked/answered elsewhere, but did you fellas renew before Aug 31? That was their cutoff for this event. They mentioned it last season during a couple of home games. If you did renew before that date and didn't get an invite, then that does truly suck.

I heard back from the membership team and yup that's what the issue was - it was an incentivised promotion for people who did renew before that date. I missed that date.

I should pay more attention!

Sounds like a bit of a downgrade - wonder whether they just aren't seeing what they need from him? Webby talked last year about him having an off play now and again and needing to sort out if he wanted to debut. He also said he was ready for NRL talent wise. Must of been a pretty bad ankle injury.

I wouldn't read to much into it tbh. Probably just more disruption to the main group and being behind the 8 ball coming in so late.

But yeah technically it was a contract downgrade as he went from development to train and trial

Hopefully the young outside backs get more than 5 minutes in the trials. Seeing Kosi play 2 whole trials, while Kali got 5 mins in 2 games last year pmo
