If one of those gets injured I guess it looks like Luke Hansen
Cnk is another option only if TT is back
And if we get more injuries I d suggest Erin at 6
He does have a passing game - it’s just put on ice by Coach Webster
If so then Jfh can play 13
Not sure on our props then guess Demi Ford TSS and Marata

Yeah Webby loves to pick a player out of position and move players to plug a hole as opposed to picking the next best player in that position.
I get that half is a very challenging position as a rookie, but if it was only for a game or two (surely we can't have TMM, Chanel AND Boyd out at the same time for too long, on top of Metcalf missing!) I think id be throwing the ball to one of the youngsters that have a big future - Jett or Linnane.
They need to get up to speed in fg sooner or later, chuck one of them in if it's only for a game or two. No point using CNK as a stop gap 1 or 2 games in to the season.

I think Roger will be right according to his early hamstring strain reports. But such is the attrition rate that we almost have an injury team in the wards right now. So guarantee we'll be naming multiple combinations again with Adam Pompey being the constant

I agree especially when it comes to halfback. Way rather a super green 7 vs a horseshoed 7. That and hooker are the 2 I don't think you should square peg and round hole it. Every other position can handle it short term, even fullback

It’s funny. I’ve been watching replays of last years games to pass the time. Watching without emotion is a very different lease.
Marta was a mixed bag, but produced a lot of good moments. We actually scored quite a lot of points off of his play the balls. He would get to his feet quickly on the right, allowing a shift to the left. I think if he is playing g off the bench for 40 minutes a game he will provide some quality.
To put CHT in the same bracket as Hanson is just crazy. CHT is definitely NRL standard, and quite brilliant at making defensive decisions. He does lack that zip to make the break but he would work well if pared with a quick fullback

Happy enough to start the season with Hanson/Boyd if it comes to that.

I reckon we glaze our players a bit too much aye, without being a negative guy. But possibly our starting halves, were outclassed by a bunch of teenagers, and our pretty close to first grade pack was demolished by simione Laifi who ran for the most metres on the field.
they are all teenagers and won’t get a start for manly.
On the other hand our boys who are compared against them are likely going to start round 1.
We had 8-9 1st graders out. Boyd is a cup half playing top grade

I think if we all lower those dreams of playing finals this may be easier to stomach.
The reality of Boyd forbthe first ten rounds and then Metcalf for the back end when we know hes super injury prone, we could really be in for a whole season of Boyd!
As much as I want metcalf to come back and own it, hes never show he can stay with it for a whole season. Now maybe him starting half way through might get him through the year, but fuck me, boyd is all we have!
CHT cant play seven, so yes I would make damn sure Cleary is getting ample oppertunity at cup, because this is the yeah he makes his debut.
Ps: if Boud is going okay when metcalf comes back, I would pair metcalf with boyd and pit metcalf back at six.
