First month of a season, all that matters is stacking wins early, whether it's by 1 point or 20.

Having said that, so much more fun stacking by 20.

Great start.

I know he's not liked by a lot. But man he was great tonight.

He does a lot of work.

I was a bit worried about his shoulder. He played through. Hopefully it's not an issue when it cools down.
Im one of this dislikers. But all I wanted was for him to cut out the stupid stuff, the penalties, the bad play the balls etc.
And tonight he did, he’s going to be even more valuable now with the bench changes.

Chaaaaaa Hooooooo!

Wowee.

We do game day so well. How good those Savage moments esp. at the end 💯

Don’t have much analysis except to say what has already been said which is when we got the better of possession and position we definitely looked a lot more chancey and attack minded. Good to see and I hope we keep that mental frame. Winning the grind alone doesn’t win games. But win the grind and then back yourself certainly does!

Stoked and optimistic. Plenty of the pundits had the Rorters top 4 and improving in their predictions this year and they had us in that 8/9/10 fringe. All I’d like to say to them is…

🖕

I was a bit worried when they were getting posession. Especially in the second half when they scored in quick succession.

Needed to get back into the grind and use up some time on the clock so they have pressure if they were to come back.

We did that. Stopped their scoring, got the two. Then managed to get a couple ourselves.

Not a perfect win. But 42 points in round 1 with our history in round 1. That is a easy pass.

Great result! Hitting round 1 and we looked prepared. Compare that to Vegas last season where we looked shell shocked. Good to see.

Happy for Boyd and I hope this kicks his confidence levels up a couple of notches. He organized the team well and that allows CHT, who has carried on from last season, to do his thing.

All round team effort - Ali didn't have the best game but I'd stick with him.

Best things for me is that it appears that we are seeing a lot of what many had highlighted from last sesdon. Using the ball with controlled offloads, asking questions in attack, Egan getting a spell, good shape in the opposition 20.

Only one game but I'm loving what I'm seeing.

Side note: No Marata and our best performance for a long time 🤔
